Iris Nylon Crochet Thread, 275-Yard, Violet

I love this nylon thread. This color, however, seems a little light and could almost be construed as gray in contrast to brighter colors.

When I placed my order, I thought that I was ordering #18-size crochet nylon yarn. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realise that most of my order was for #2-size crochet nylon yarn. Out of 36 skeins of yarn/thread, I have 3 that are what I wanted. Again, unfortunately for me, I didn't check out the orders when then were delivered and I can no longer return or exchange them for what I really wanted because the return timeline has expired.I would ask that in the future, when these type of items are advertised, please make sure that the size is in the description of the item and not in real fine print way at the end of the advertising page or not at all. I knew what I wanted, so I went to the search bar, typed in size 18 nylon crochet yarn, I expected that would be what would come up! I then just scrolled down and picked out all the different colors I wanted to order and placed the order!! Fooled me for sure, but is was my fault for not reading the whole complete description.I am sharing this experience to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else.

I had never heard of this stuff before, so I ordered some in all kinds of colors. The colors are bright and very pretty, almost jewel-toned. The thread is very strong, but does fray on the ends. I solved this by tying a knot at the very end of the tail that will be woven in to hide. I have not tried it for absorbancy or heat resistance. But I am thrilled with the way the projects I have completed turn out with very clear and crisp patterns and designs such as a butterfly place mat. I would absolutely recommend it to all my crafty friends. it works up like a size 10 thread and gauges out about the same. The only con would be how it will unravel unless knotted and be sure to order enough for your project as there can be a big difference in dye lots.

Thread was a lot thinner than anticipated.
