Really good strings
I bought these to put on my Fender CD-60SCE because I found a blog talking about how these strings can help give a medium level guitar a richer, full body sound like a higher end guitar. I didnt expect the strings alone to make it sound like a Martin or Taylor (and they don't...) but I was surprised at the sound. These do provide a nice round tone and I think they make my guitar sound better (read: more expensive) than it ever has. For a few more bucks, I would recommend trying these out.

The highest quality string you’ll find; find the best-fit type for you/your guitar
Absolute quality, increased projection and dynamic range, long-life. The 300M 80/20 mediums in particular are more directly fundamental (less warm), articulate, and rarely break. They can be driven supremely hard, and transfer energy into the guitar in a way that brings it to life as you’ve never known it before. A high-performance string of still uncompromised quality made for performers, and a profound legacy of the man, John Pearse. My highest recommended string manufacturer.

These strings won't string you out (?)
This is my experience:John Pearse strings have a strange life curve.- They start out the same as any other string - jangly and exciting, but useless.- They mellow to a useful level relatively quickly, and this is the best sound you've ever heard.- They stay in that level for about a week if you play every day.- They acquire a dullness that makes you think you should change them.- You play them for another month because you somehow remember that dull John Pearse strings sound better than most other new strings.Maybe you try different strings, but they usually sound like the old John Pearse strings you just took off.For what it's worth, I'm relatively young (<35), so bear with me when I claim to play folk-rock (even though I do). I also play a fair amount of contemporary pop (I enjoy playing music my wife likes, because making chicks like you was always sort of the whole point), which necessitates a certain liveliness to my guitar. These strings deliver.

Best thick strings for acoustic--warm, full sound
These are the brightest (NOT tinny-sounding!) and warmest (NOT muddy!) strings I have tried in my 30 years playing guitar. If you're looking for a thicker string and don't mind sacrificing a little bendability for great tone--this is what you probably want. Because they're a little heavy, you may want to watch the string peg on the 6th string as the string first stretches out, as it may pop the first few times you tune up. Not a big deal though. These honeys are top notch.

I love the rich sound
I love the rich sound! I have a Taylor 410 CE and these fill the mid range really well. I was wondering if picking with medium would be that much different but no problem these play great. I doubt these will last as long as a coated string but the sound is really worth the trade off. Im a fan! If you are looking for something richer than the 'tastes like chicken' sound of Elixir try a set of these :)Update: they lasted about 20 hours of playing then when dull. Coated strings last me 2-3 times longer

Nice woody tone, short life
I really liked the tone and loudness of these strings, excellent for blues or country but I found strings a little bit to stiff for me; you really have to press them very hard so you won't get buzzing sound. Although I expected Medium gage to last a little longer than light, the nice woody toned diminished within a month (and i only play around 20-30 min/day)

What a Nice Set of Strings!!!
I bought a John Pearse wood armrest for my Guild, but it didn't quite fit my lower bought. I was able to modify it and affix it to my guitar and have been pretty happy with it. So when I saw these strings pop up in my Amazon window as a product others who had bought the armrest had purchased... I figured... "Why not?".I usually use Martin medium 80/20 bronze strings on my Guild DV-6, but these just seem to bring out a different resonance in my guitar that I really like. They seem to be an excellent string, and if I can continue to get them at a reasonable price... I'll be switching permanently (for this guitar at least).

Nice, Full Sounding String, Not Fuzzy
I really like the full, "round" sound of these strings with a nice treble to bass response. I accidently put on a set of Pearse Phospor Bronze and really did not like the overly treble, fuzzy, overly bright sound. Of course it's just a preference. So if you are looking for a clear, distinct sound, nice to play, these are great strings.
