This weighted blanket reminds me of my past 5-star hotel adventures, and that's the exact reason why I got it. Sorry, I would have written a more humble review - which I did - but Amazon deleted it saying I wasn't to the point. Don't you also remember those trips? Remember how good you slept? So good you wake up and couldn't believe it was already morning? And sometimes you slept some more and then woke up at noon and ordered room service? Well, it's funny you don't think of it once you get home. Or at least I didn't, until I chance upon this blanket, and realized what they are. In life, your best sleep is at your home, and on your 5-star hotel vacations. So why not bring them together?I think the 25-pound version strikes a good balance between being heavy enough to give you that enveloping feeling of security, but not too heavy as to suffocate you. You can get in 5-pound increments, up to 40 pounds, with the lightest starting at 15 pounds. For me, 25 pounds is the maximum that I still find comfortable. There are some people out there who actually feels suffocated if the blanket is too heavy, so for those I recommend starting out with the 15-pound version. The blanket is soft, but like those at the hotels and because it is weighted, it's best if you add a thin sheet in between. I recommend a satin sheet, as it is super thin and cool. I always sleep with the AC on, so the combination of a cool 68F temperature with the satin sheet, underneath this weighted blanket, is the idael setup. Sleeping with a weighted blanket feels different than with a thin sheet, as the weighted blanket envelopes you more tightly, giving you a tucked feeling, almost like you are a mummy. Therefore, I toss and turn less frequently, and sleep more soundly. I drift out of sleep less often, and sometimes I sleep all the way until morning and when I open my eyes I don't believe it's been so quick.It might not be for everyone, but for me it is effective. If you have trouble sleeping, this might be a good option. Sweet dreams!

TWIN SIZE-I bought this twin size blanket for my son after he laid under mine on my bed. Pay attention to the size you buy because it changes the weight distribution and feel. The twin size was too heavy for him. I like the heavier feel but it is too heavy for me to sleep under.KING SIZE- I decided to get this weighted blanket because I couldn't find a reasonable comforter that had some weight to it for the money I wanted to spend. It arrived, I wasn't sure the design would be suitable for my bedroom as it is very plain and it doesn't fit my cali king bed like I think it should. My husband even said initially it probably wouldn't work. I took it to the public wash because I thought it may be too heavy for my washer. It washed fine, dried fine. Took it back home, changed the bedding and added this blanket. My husband and I slept under it the first night and to our amazement we both woke up loving it. It falls in place around your body like a snug glove. We don't use anything else now and will only use this type of blanket in the future. The only thing is if the make could make them a bit prettier instead of so plain this would be the best blanket ever. I will buy again despite the look because the feel is so awesome and comforting.

My boyfriend is an Afghan infantry vet with C-PTSD. He decided to come off his meds for the first time in 8 years so I wanted to look for anything that would help him. He gets pretty bad night terrors and wakes up in a pool of sweat so this seemed like a hail mary but I was willing to try anything. He LOVES this thing and so do I. The weight is extremely comforting and he falls asleep and stays asleep, the night terrors have reduced by about 90% even without the meds. I should add that I had a weighted blanket before and the weight would shift all to one area and was uneven and way too hot so I wasn't too excited about this but to my surprise it sleeps pretty cool even for the Florida heat. You need to be decently strong to wash this because it's crazy heavy when its sopping wet. It takes like a whole day to dry so I stick in the dryer even though it says not to, takes about 2 hours in the dryer but it didnt cause any damage to the blanket. This blanket is insane and I highly recommend it to anyone with PTSD or night terrors, or just to anyone at all because this will really improve your sleep. I was very skeptical especially considering the price but this thing was worth every penny and then some, I would've paid thousands to see my boyfriend finally get some good rest. Get this and thank me later.

From everything I've read about these blankets (not just here), my expectations were pretty high. I'm not getting all that glorious sleep I was hoping for. Takes a minute to get used to. The adjustment is like getting used to sleeping with someone else. Someone who doesn't snore, sweat or hog the blankets. Haven't yet figured out how I'm going to wash it. Had to take everything else but the sheets off the bed to use it with a heating pad (pain issues), because it's very warm. That said, the longer I have it the more I wouldn't want to do without it. There's something really comforting about this thing. It brings back memories of some of the things that made me happy as a child - like feather beds, lots of warm, soft blankets and that secure feeling when Mom tucks you in. One reviewer described it like a hug - I agree with that. A soft, gentle hug. And I have to say I feel more of a sense of peace - as I fall asleep and as I wake. So far I've had none of the problems I've read about in some of the more negative reviews. Plenty soft, but I have it over a sheet. Came in a bag. Seems like good quality. No shifting weight. No problems making the bed - and I'm kinda old and have carpal tunnel. You just have to slide it instead of flipping it in the air. I'm a very restless sleeper and it stays in place really well. I bought a king size for a queen bed (which I always do because I hate bothering with a dust ruffle) and the size is good. It doesn't feel like much weight, but when I want more I fold it over. Took about a week to decide, but I'm definitely keeping it. I wake with that perfectly comfy, cozy feeling. It does make it a little harder to get out of bed in the morning.

Purchased this to help with sleeping. The blanket does help. The weight is evenly distributed, and the construction is well done also.The only issue for me is it seems a tad bit thin. While it may be what some like, I prefer a thicker blanket.But I do recommend this and give it a 5 star.

Gives you that snuggly feeling. Sleep better and don’t wake up with a sore back anymore. So that’s a bonus

Hardly fits a double, doesn't go over the edges with a double just about doesn't. Nice fabric, soft. I got the 15lbs. It's great for one person and I'm a little chubby so I wrap it around me. Helps with anxiety or restless legs. Ill get the king size one day..

I bought the king size 15 lb blanket for my queen size bed. The weighted blanket is not heavy and keeps drafts out unlike other flimsy blankets. My only negative feedback is that its seems to be limited colour selection. I would buy another one if the colours came in navy blue, cherry red, forest green or black!! I had a good night sleep with my nice cozy weighted 15 pound blanket!!!

l love the blanket and sleep so much better. l am surprised how warm l am even thou the blank is so thin. l bought a warm duvet cover for winter and a cotton for summer they have ties that fit into the loops on the blanket. My aches l had on my body has disappeared. l wouldn't do with out this blanket.
