Worth the cost
I’ve been using K&N filters - air and cabin - for about 10 years and they work as advertised. The first thing I noticed when I installed my first K&N air filter was increased fuel efficiency by roughly 2 miles per gallon. Depending upon the make and model of the vehicle - my first one went into a 2009 Cadillac CTS - I don’t think Cadillac every intended for a 68 year old woman to install an air filter because it was a bit of a challenge. However, Im not a quitter, so I grit my teeth and got the filter installed. In comparison, the cabin filter was “a piece of cake”!

Worth the Expense?
I think this is a great product to reduce human waste. But value for money is not there. Even though it is reusable, you have to purchase the cleaning kit (cleaning agent and reconditioning oil) which will last you about two clean cycles. If you do the math, it is actually cheaper to buy the non-reusable filter every time you have to change it.

Good product and reusable
We like the K&N filters. We've had them on our previous vehicles. So nice to be able to clean them any time without having to buy a new filter. You do need the cleaning set which lasts for several cleanings.

K&N are always decent filters
Bought this as a replacement cabin filter for our Chevy Volt - only to find that the vehicle came without any filter originally. I would have put one in a long time ago if I knew the factory did not have one.It is a bit pricier(about 2 1/2 times as much) as the OEM replacement cabin air filter, but since it is washable it seemed like a sensible way to go.Very easy to install on a Chevy Volt.

Clean filtered air once again
The stock AC Delco carbon activated filter about $55. plus installation of 1 hour of dealership labor ($85. around S.E. Wisconsin). Because the stock filters are carbon activated, they are good for only 1 year, and need to be replaced. The K&N is not carbon activated, and will still be effective for many years. Of course once it is cleaned using the K&N cabin filter refresher kit, you are good to go for another 50,000 miles. However, there is one caution if you are doing this yourself on a Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac XTS, or Chevy Impala, the cabin filter is up behind the glovebox on the inside of the car, and you have to remove the glovebox assembly. Follow the enclosed directions, but do not remove the glovebox light, just unplug it. If you remove the light and are not careful, you will break the black switch plunger, and this part is not available separately. I had to buy an entire glovebox assembly for $200 (for the Buick) in order to get a new little switch plunger so the light will be operational. Installing the cabin filter should probably be a dealership job unless you are a tech.

Saves money
Replaced the cabin filters in all vehicles and this saves a lot of money. I have to travel dirt roads and I clean these about every 6 months. Just wash in a bucket and reinstall. No dealer charges and no buying new filters.
