I ordered this battery for a friend's ancient HP DV6 laptop. The original battery was completely dead; it wouldn't even hold the laptop in sleep mode. The old battery was 4400MaH and the Fancy battery is 5200MaH. The battery was shipped out and delivered on the 3rd day. The instructions tell you to run it down before charging to 2%. When I first turned the laptop on it was at 45%. I ran it down to 7% battery (approximately 75 minutes), when the HP turned itself off. I plugged it in and charged it up overnight. The battery works well and the price is outstanding for a dependable replacement. I'd recommend and would buy it again.

Good replacement for the battery that I needed to replace fits good charged up good I cycle the battery by charging it three times and then letting it go dead three times that's what you should do to cycle the battery so it takes full charge in the future and it will make the battery last a lot longer also when your battery is fully charged make sure you do not use the charger because it's removable battery if you're going to use the AC adapter just take the battery out because once the battery is charged it starts to discharge so it creates heat and if you have the charger on at the same time that creates another heat that's what kills better so just remember when you're using battery use battery when you're using the laptop at home and you on a AC the charger make sure you take the battery that's fully charged out that way you don't kill the battery

My surface pro 4 was overheating and screen flickering. Internet says the battery is overheating, common issue. I purchased this battery, installed and was left with a tablet with a black screen. Ran a cord to a display and the tablet is working. Due to the screen being held with adhesive I thought I damaged the ribbon wire while removing the screen. I’ve since replaced the screen twice, the small display circuit board twice, and all ribbon wires twice. The screen will not work. I’ve redone the battery install, everything is correct. More online searching shows these off brand batteries have an incorrect circuit board. I’m well past my return window and I’ve discarded the original battery so I’m unable to transfer over the circuit board but I’ve bought a used original battery from a broken tablet and the tablet works. I see several comments stating they replaced the battery and believe the new ruined the circuitry leaving them with a useless tablet. It’s the circuitry within the battery that’s bad, not your tablet.
