The Leather Factory Men's Sword Black Genuine Lambskin Leather Biker Jacket

(This review should have been posted back in January, 2017.) Leather in real life doesn't have the "drapey" quality as shown on website. Overall for the price, this could have been a very good bargain, but after only a few times of wearing it, coating on the leather started to chip off. =( And it's very obvious because it's chipping on the front chest pockets... Was hoping this could last a good few years, but I guess this is not going to be it. Would suggest anyone who is considering it, take this into consideration. Thanks!

Where do I start:1. The reviews for this item are simply awful, no one seems to have a clue.2. One reviewer (JUAN) simply stated that's its fake and a cheap imitation. Poorly written review, why even bother-(and its wrong).So lets start with the facts. When you buy something that states " Genuine Leather " it specifies a grade of leather that is the second lowest in terms of quality. It is meant to be ambiguous. The fact is that it is indeed leather, but not the type of leather that comes with that strong leather scent.That type of leather would be top grain leather and that would be expensive. So, Juan is half right in saying that this is an imitation. It is imitating a top grain leather jacket when in fact it only looks like one. The plastic smell is partly from the packaging and partly due to the fact that genuine leather products receive a coat of poly along with some embossing to give the appearance of a top grain leather jacket. At 150.00 this seems like a fair price as most of these items can fetch anywhere from 75.00 to 160.00(depending on how well they are made). This jacket is not for warmth. It provides little warmth but it looks really good. In addition, don't do the burn test because that's not the best way to determine if it is real leather. Do the water test and if it absorbs quickly then its a good bet that its a top quality leather. I did the water test and I noticed that the water sat on the jacket and in some spots it absorbed slowly. This was probably due to the poly coating.

Love this jacket. Leather is super soft and the quilted lining is really nice. 3 inside pockets. 2 large enough for a wallet or phone and one small finger pocket on the left that you could fit a lighter and chopstick in at the same time.As for fit I think it's perfect for me. I bought a large. I'm 6'1" 185lbs with a 32" waist. I have very broad shoulders and wide back but small waste. This jacket fits me like a 44R slim fit sports jacket would. If I wanted to wear a lot layers or heavy sweaters under it I would get an XL but then it would be too baggy when not layered up. I have worn thick knit sweaters under it and it's fine but snug.The Leather Factory customer service was also exceptional at answering all my questions and making me feel confident in this purchase. I will definitely be considering them first for next leather jacket(brown) possibly in the spring.

First of all, I am 6' 2" and weigh 215, toned and athletic. I bought an XL which is my normal size when I buy shirts etc. It fits perfectly...not too tight and not too loose or baggy. When the jacket arrived it was rolled up. It was hard to believe that is was so compact and light. When I put it on it felt like a normal weight. Smells like new leather too! This is a very nice jacket and I am 100% happy with it. I have been in stores where they want $300 to $500 for a jacket that is not even as nice as this. The color is not a super jet black but kind more of a brownish black which I prefer. I don't think you will be sorry for buying this jacket. You can always send it back!

This is a great jacket, a little thinner than I was hoping for but till fine, Now I looked though the reviews and they mostly said “it’s bigger than the size chart , get a size up” but I looked at the chart and thought “that size is a little bigger than me anyway, it should cancel out” but I was wrong, yes it did fit; but JUST BEARLY, so I ordered a size up and returned the smaller one, the refund took longer than I had hoped for but in the end I had gotten my full refund, so if you take anything out of this review, don’t justify it. get the size up, now this was not there fualt that I had to return it, that’s on me. Because I didn’t listen to the reviews, so if you get this jacket head my warning

When I first took it out of the packaging I thought to myself it had to be faux leather. It was brand spanking new, super shiny and very smooth with no texture. However, once I got it out, put it on and started breaking it in a little bit the natural creases and texture of the leather really came out. It just needed a little conditioning so I would recommend breaking it in before rushing to judgement ;)Like other reviews I would agree the leather is thin, really soft and not at all like the thicker stuff you see in other leather jackets. The jacket itself is thin (and comfortable) too and perfect for the climate here in Southern California. I am 5'11" 208 pounds with a 36" waist and athletic build. My typical jacket size is a 42R and my shirt size is 17.5 34-35. I ordered a size L and the jacket fits perfectly. Leather jackets, especially leather moto jackets, are not supposed to fit baggy and/or bulky.Another point I would like to make is that while it is a very stylish-casual leather jacket, it is not so trendy that you look ridiculous and feel out of place wearing it. I feel "cool" and comfortable with it on, which is the point, right?I am going to take back the $700 leather jacket I recently purchased and keep this one :)

The jacket was to small, I ordered it going by the sizing guide. I was charged 15% for returning it.

This is an excellent jacket for the price. Arrived well packed in a plastic bag, and no unusual aromas noted. The quality for price paid is excellent. The material is soft, and the fit is what I would call traditional "American". Large is large and no issues with overall fit. Good zipper.If you are looking for a nice jacket for everyday use, this would be a great choice. Buy with confidence.

Jacket was too small even though we measured to make sure the size was right. Still waiting to hear if you received the jacket back. Awaiting on refund. Quality didnt seem bad. Was just too small.

It was not like the pictured, leather it was shipped similar but not the same color and shininess. I think Il will return it.
