the shade fabric seems to keep the sun and heat off of the west-facing windows and the bedroom seems like it might be a couple o
I bought the 12x12 shade cloth to screen a 9-foot second floor, west facing bedroom window from brutal afternoon sun. I framed the shade cloth using 1.5 inch by 0.25 inch pvc molding into two 4.5 x 4 foot pieces, then mounted the two framed pieces into the hurricane shutter brackets on the exterior of the 9-foot window. I then framed the whole window using 2.75 inch W x 0.75 inch thick pressure treated boards. Then painted the frame. The whiteness of the shade fabric is a bit overwhelming, but now that it's been up for a coupe of days I'm used to it. The wrinkles seem to be slowly smoothing out. I sprayed the fabric w/ some wrinkle remover (the kind you use for shirts) and I'll see if that helps. The shade fabric itself is reasonably robust. Don't know how long it will last in the direct FL sun, but I doubt it will last longer than one year. Nonetheless, the shade fabric seems to keep the sun and heat off of the west-facing windows and the bedroom seems like it might be a couple of degrees cooler.

The rabbits are much happier and it is much cooler now that it is ...
This stuff was a lifesaver. We got it to stretch over our rabbit colony to help beat the heat. With temps in the 90s and the heat index in the 100+ it was unbearable. This worked really well. As an added bonus it is on the part of our house that gets direct midday sun so we are hoping it actually lowers our electric bill as well. That would be a lovely little surprise. The rabbits are much happier and it is much cooler now that it is in place.

Does the job, but.....
This is my 2nd order. It's great stuff for keeping the hot sun off my deck. HOWEVER! It is NOT 20 feet x 20 feet. More like 19ft 4 inches. This caused me a bit of grief, as I had to piece it to make it fit. ALSO, something in /on this fabric caused hives aging my arms , and burning sensation to the skin around my eyes, nose and mouth. Be warned.

Best stuff on Earth!!
I used this material for my pergola/deck for coverage from the rain and wind and it worked perfectly. No complaints at all with anything. It even comes with plastic rings so that you don't have to go out and buy anything to hang it with. It's pretty much plastic woven like a burlap sack. It's light and easy to work with. I cut it and customized each portion of the deck with it and the material didn't fray.

Works good as a sun shade
Dimesion are not quite as big as it claims but pretty close. Maybe it will stretch slightly

Attractive, well made *wind break* (not a strong sun block, of course)
I sort of bought the wrong stuff, but that's on me. I bought it to both cut down wind and to block the intense sun during a desert camping festival. I was sort of imagining that '90%' would filter the wind and calm it a bit, but also block significant sun. Well, number one, it blocked the wind too well and wind pressure was almost as high as if I had a tarp up. Number two, this stuff is not very opaque and a lot of heat/light from the sun still got through.I will continue to use this screening because it looks nice and seems capable of holding up really well. I'll just add my own perforations to allow more wind through (create my own '70% screen' ;). Then, if it's hot, I'll use something additional behind the screening to block the sun. Lesson for me was: Consider going with one of the metallic screening nets, e.g., if you need both sun and wind blocks.
