Really liked this mascara, it didn’t have those little bits that come off and manage to get into my eyes. No irritation at all, no overpowering chemical scent, I really like the coverage too. I will buy again.

Didn’t like the fact that the mascara didn’t do anything at all to enhance my eyelashes and it seemed as though it was very dry. Hardly showed up at all when wearing it and took me ages to remove it! Wouldn’t recommend

This was my go to mascara for the past couple of years. I'd bought 2 tubes previously from Amazon and I just bought a 3rd using the 'buy again' function, however the formula seems to have changed. Previously it was my favourite as it was vegan, cruelty free, lengthened, with buildable volume so it didn't clump, and it removed easily with water. The new tube seems more like a waterproof mascara. It's clumpy and sticky after a couple of coats, and it definitely doesn't remove easily - it takes a bit of scrubbing with an eye make up remover and I'm left with black bits on my face which are also sticky and hard to remove.It would be interesting to know if anyone else has noticed this change of if I just got a bad batch. I'm really disappointed as it was my favourite mascara but now I'd be wary of buying again.

Background to ordering this: I ordered this having become aware of the majority of 'cruelty free' or 'not tested on animals' products that actually aren't what they seem...for years I've been buying Dior and MAC, blissfully unaware they abandoned their 'no animal testing' policy back in 2012 when China introduced new laws requiring all foreign made beauty products sold in China to be tested on animals...anyway, I digress...I was still using my (clumpy +12 month old Dior Diorshow mascara) that I was determined to use up until at least 4 bouts of conjunctivitis before vowing to never buy it again...I'd been looking into alternatives when I came across this product. Having read the reviews I thought I'd part with my pennies, but remained sceptical, convinced I would never find a cruelty-free replacement mascara that would cut the mustard, so I'm glad I was wrong.The product: goes on really nicely, providing a carbon black root to tip coverage that lengthens and opens up the eyes with just one coat. It really does what it says on the tin; it gives the effect of definition and length and a natural open-eyed look. With 2-3 coats it doesn't clump and just provides a look more suited to heavy eye makeup or an evening look.I basically gave this a 3 day trial before writing this review as I wanted it to be helpful. I wore 1 coat alone and did my usual gym routine, before I got rained on and then did some heavy DIY at home...no panda eyes, no smudging, no crumbling, no black bits around my eyes from it drying out. I did the same again the following day and got really sweaty and really rained on, again, it had staying power and no panda eyes. Day 3 provided the same result, after a hard workout at the gym, more rain, slightly less heavy duty work in the home again no panda eyes.The product washes off easily and I was left with no residue and again, no panda eyes requiring an extra scrub or eye makeup remover.The applicator: is plastic and spiky, it reminds me of a gimmicky Dior one I bought a while back that (in my opinion) was basically the same product but with a different applicator. I think this applicator provides good coverage and as the mascara (at the moment) is quite wet and not gloopy at all it's perfect for the root to tip coverage and individual lash definition.As a vegan and a bit of a makeup fiend I think I've found the perfect, cruelty-free product. I have been a longtime user of high street cosmetics, but have recently discovered the importance of natural products and decided to try this mascara after having experienced skin reactions from regular mascara (small bumps along the wet line of my eyes). I got this when it was on a lightning deal as I thought it wouldn't be a great loss should it not suit my needs, but I am now very happy that I purchased it and will be coming back for more!Having tested and used this mascara for two months now, I can safely say that I really like it. The colour intensity is good, the wand is just how I like it (defines the lashes well and adds volume), it does not irritate my eyes, is easy to remove, does not smudge or drizzle, no clumps, and best of all: it is cruelty free. The mascara tube itself is sleek and elegant, and looks quite nice in my makeup pouch. I also really like that the ingredients are natural as I do not like the idea of putting lots of chemicals on my body. You can read all the ingredients on the ingredients list on the package (see attached photos).I had an issue with the initial mascara I received, but the seller was very helpful and sent me a new mascara free of charge, even though it is Amazon who fulfils their orders. This was much appreciated, and a clear sign that the seller cares about its customers. I have used Gaya mascara before and been very pleased with it. However on this occasion it has made my eyes very sore, constantly streaming and after 2 days use I developed a stye. Something has obviously changed. So I will no longer be purchasing this item as I feel it is definitely not for sensitive eyes now!!.

This is the best mascara I've ever used. Goes on really easy and doesn't dry out after a couple a months like I find some of the well known other brands do. The brown shade is less harsh but just as effective as black colour. Definitely one I will be re-purchasing

I have been buying this mascara on and off for the past couple of years. The first time I tried it I really liked it, but I'm easily distracted by the next shiny thing, so every time I see some new natural brand I try it. I have found a few that I like almost as much - but I always keep coming back to Gaya! I don't like makeup that looks like I'm wearing makeup - but I have very thin (and graying) eyelashes, so I always look tired if I don't wear any mascara at all. This mascara looks very natural, but makes my lashes look very full and lush - which, in my experience, is a very hard combination to achieve. It stays and stays - I can cry... I can get caught in the rain... I can take a nap... and I never get raccoon eyes!Honestly, that leads to the only thing I don't love about this mascara - I find it a little challenging to take off because my eyes are super-sensitive, and most eye makeup removers burn my eyes. Even that statement shows how much I love this mascara, though, because first of all, despite how sensitive my eyes are, I never have any irritation from the mascara itself. Secondly, because I have to rub and rub to remove it, I'm always worried about my already-sparse lashes being further decimated - but I think my lashes are actually healthier than they ever were with any other mascaras I've tried.Every time I try a new mascara, I realize I should just stick with the Gaya!

Die Wimperntusche ist super, sieht wunderschön aus und man kann sie auch aufbauen. Bei einem Mal auftragen sieht sie sehr natürlich aus, bei öfteren Auftragen bekommen die Wimpern mehr Länge und Volumen und trotzdem ein schönes Ergebnis ohne Verkleben oder ähnlichem. Sie hält auch bombenfest über einen Tag, egal bei was kommt.Abschminken lässt sie sich genauso einfach und schnell wie andere wasserfeste Mascaras - man braucht einfach nur das richtige Produkt.Ich werde keine andere Mascara mehr verwenden.

Es una máscara bastante buena , suave , sin “bolitas”. Tengo SQM y ojos súper sensibles y me va muy bien , no irrita los ojos .Tarda algo en secarse y se necesita varias capas , pero sin duda la volveré a comprar

Für meine Bedürfnisse die perfekte Wimperntusche!Ich spüre die Wimperntusche quasi nicht, so angenehm lässt sie sich tragen. Die Konsistenz ist für mich perfekt: Nicht zu trocken aber auch nicht so flüssig, dass sie klumpt und schmiert. Der Look ist natürlich, aber ausdrucksstark. Je öfter man tuscht, umso kräftiger das Schwarz - wobei die Wimpern nicht verklumpen. Die Wimpern fühlen sich natürlich und geschmeidig an.Für einen nicht wasserfesten Mascara ist die Haltbarkeit erstaunlich: Unverändertes Aussehen während des Tages bei mir. Ein Test über Nacht zeigte leichtes Verschmieren unter dem Auge, aber nicht sehr stark.Die Bürste war ungewohnt für mich, lässt sich aber sehr gut handhaben. Inzwischen finde ich diese festere Bürste viel besser als die voluminösen: Die Farbe verschwindet nicht in der Bürste, und diese festere Bürste verteilt die Farbe sehr sauber auf den Wimpern, es gibt eben keine Klumpen oder zu viel Farbe.Lange Jahre habe ich einen wasserfesten Mascara von Max Factor benutzt, mit dem ich auch sehr zufrieden war. Aber er war natürlich stärker am Auge zu spüren und schwieriger zu reinigen. Jetzt suchte ich einen Nachfolger und testete zuerst einen anderen wasserfesten Max Factor Mascara. Der war so unangenehm, die Wimpern waren steif, immer schien ein Störfaktor am Wimpernrand - so schaute ich mal nach natürlicheren Alternativen für einen schönen, daily Look und bin doppelt froh: Sehr schöner, natürlicher Look und gleichzeitig weniger Chemie. Ich bin mit der Gaya Mascara super zufrieden!!Wer einen Red Carpet Auftritt mit extrem dichten, langen Wimpern wünscht (und sie eigentlich nicht von Natur aus hat), wird wohl mit einer anderen Mascara zufriedener sein. Das verspricht dieses Produkt aber auch nicht.
