This book is perfection
This book is so perfect. My kids love reading it, and they enjoy seeing the changes in the illustrations to find all the items/pictures that morph into pigs. My husband honestly does more cleaning than I do, but I really don't think the message of this book is that all men are lazy. It helps teach your kids that it is important to help out and pitch in, as an entire family. In an age of "entitlement", this book is very relevant.

Soon the House Was Like a Pigsty!
This book is great on so many levels. As the story progresses, the discovery of pig illustrations gives an enchanting Where’s Waldo effect. The story teaches family that chores are communal and to help mom ;-J

FUN STORY WITH A GOOD LESSON
This book tells about a father and 2 sons who expect a lot of service from the woman of the house and show her little respect. When she leaves them temporarily and they have to fend for themselves, they change their attitude. The illustrations that show the males turning into pigs are delightful. This book reinforces the idea that families must share household responsibilities and at the same time it's a fun read.

Teachers book for Kids' Appreciation of Mom
The Piggybook indeed explores the essential mommy. This book shows just how much mom does behind the scenes and sometimes right in front of us. I have used this book for years prior to having my students create Mother's Day cards. I gave this book to a newby teacher this year because she borrowed my copy and loved it. So it is a good teacher book. Buy it and have it ready for Mother's Day.

A book to share with families.
I can't tell you how many times I've given this book away.Every family needs to be reminded that mom is a person to.I have read this in classes, shared it in e-mails, and sung its praises to strangers. The cover says it all.

Humorous but a bit dated
Addresses male chauvinism head-on and in a humorous way. At a time when parents share more of the housework, when gender equality has become more of a given in children's books, and authors seek not to ascribe fixed gender roles, this book may seem a bit dated. Nonetheless, I can see this being a useful reflection tool for children.

Family and Gender Roles
Great book to teach children empathy and their role in a family. The author is clear and to the point with visual puns that support the story.

Me encanta. Puede usarse para dar pie en casa a discutir el reparto de tareas, la equidad, etc. Muy recomendable!

A must-have for all over-tired mums!
This book is sheer genius. Amazed is wasn't written by a woman! Anthony Browne is one of our favourite authors in our house (we have 3 boys aged 4,6 and 7.) This is a very good prompt to initiate a conversation about how they should all try and help mummy a little more around the house. As usual with Anthony Browne, lots to discuss and lots of hidden things to spot in the pictures.
