Mortimer (Classic Munsch)

My granddaughter fell in love with Smelly Socks by Munich and we’ve been buying his books ever since she read it. Lots of funny adventures for all to enjoy.

Robert Munsch books often make the adults look silly to the delight of children. This book is no exception. Plus, children can chant along repeatedly, which they love. Predictable. Defiance in a fun way!

I read this to my daughter when she was about 4 years old. She enjoyed helping me read the book because I would animate the people telling Mortimer to be quiet. My granddaughters ages 4 & 6 enjoy it just as much.

I remembered this book that I used to get read to me when I was little. Found it on Amazon! I bought it for my daughter and she loves it.

I first heard this read by the music teacher at the school I substitute for. She played the xylophone when people walked up or down the stairs. She also sang the refrain. I knew my grandkids would love it, so I bought one for each of us so we could read and play on FaceTime as we live far from all of them. We enjoyed that but we especially love it when we can do it in person. My grandkids are preschool age.

I bought this book to read to my toddler before bed. She giggles every time we read Mortimer’s song and dances along. Robert Munsch is a great author and his books are so much fun. The repetition in his books makes them super kid friendly and the pictures are adorable. Aside from making my toddler laugh, this book makes me laugh because…my child is Mortimer.

This was enjoyed. By my children 30 years ago. Now my grandkids are enjoying.

This is one of my favourite books, its a great book where you can really act out and use different tone of voice when reading it to your children.

Turned up fantastic condition very pleased

It's fun and repetitive. And if you sing the refrain in a taunting', melodic way it is really funny. I've seen the song used in a music school show where the children acted it out playing Mummy, Daddy, Mortimer and sibling who played the xylophones and sang the refrain. Great book!

For my three year old granddaughter. Kind of a strange humor - she likes the story.

This has quickly become my 3 year olds favorite book! An awesome classic!
