Why is this necessary? But it does work.
Gotta say I was a little frustrated that I needed to buy this device to connect another outdoor device (Eve Aqua) to my indoor hub (Apple TV). Initially I didn’t know what was going wrong and reached out to Eve for technical assistance. Their response was not very helpful to be honest, and did not seek to understand the cause of my problems or offer solutions, but presumed something that was not the case. Also after a couple emails they never informed me that I needed an Extender to successfully connect my Bluetooth Aqua to my Apple TV.I was also nervous about spending the money on an item that seemed to have a lot of mixed reviews, but I took a gamble and got it anyways.Set up was not actually as easy as I had hoped. Numerous attempt to get the device added to my account failed; as it seemed the amount of time needed to connect was longer than the device was programmed to remain on.Finally, after about a half a dozen attempt I tried something different and initiated the pairing while hitting the reset button while the device was plugged in. Magically it seemed to connect, though it took a while to complete the adding of the device to my account. So far the device seems to be working well and I am able to access the Aqua remotely now. Sure would have been nice if they built this into the Eve Aqua so you don’t have to buy a whole other device to make it work. But I’m glad my system works now and if you already use Eve and need to extend your Bluetooth range, this is how to do it. Generally I like Eve and will probably stick with them.

Looks like I'll be adding more Eve devices.
I purchased a couple of Eve accessories a while back but have not depended on them because they kept becoming unavailable in Homekit. Eve has several other devices I would like to try but have been put off by the connectivity issue. I purchased the Extend to see if it would solve the issue.Initial impressions –Added to Homekit quickly. Then the app tried to assign the two accessories I wanted to link – an Eve Motion and an Eve Energy (both had already been updated to the current firmware). After some time, the Eve Energy connected but the Motion erred out. I quit the connection, put fresh batteries in the Motion and tried again using an iPad instead of my phone. Failed again and then was asked if I wanted to update the software on the Eve Extend. After updating the software, I tried to assign the Motion again and this time it went smoothly.Have tried a little bit of testing with both the Motion and the Energy and range seems excellent – tested the Energy about 70’ from the Extend, across and outside the house – worked flawlessly. Same with the Motion, placed it in the basement, one level down and on the opposite side of the house from the Extend; again, didn’t miss a beat.

This worked to add my Eve Aqua to my home wifi. I wish the Eve ecosystem worked without it.
It worked. No issues. My one problem is that it was REQUIRED in order to make the Eve Aqua function "well."Example-It is Saturday morning at 6:45. There is a freak unreported thunderstorm. I want to have the Aqua skip todays schedule. I grab my iPhone and it “Is Not Connected.”In order to skip the watering schedule for this day, I have to get out of bed, walk to the kitchen, stand over the sink and HOPE the Aqua connects to the house bib that is installed under our kitchen window. With the Eve Extend, I can turn on my iPhone or ask Siri, whatever and it works. It works upstairs, in the living room, at work, etc. NOW it works!I understand that the default Eve connection protocol, bluetooth, is low power and saves on battery life but, bluetooth makes the user experience of Eve products a chore. Any connection beyond ten feet is unstable. Even with line of sight, connecting to the Aqua through an outside wall is almost impossible.I hope the new technologies on the horizon make the Eve Extend less necessary (and less expensive).

Very short bluetooth range, and setup requires multiple attempts
The Eve Extend ONLY works with most Eve bluetooth devices. It's NOT a generic bluetooth extender. Its main fault is that bluetooth range is very limited: 20ft max with NO obstruction between the Eve Extend and the remote Eve bluetooth device. This range is far inferior to any Homekit Hub device (AppleTV/Homepod).You may need multiple of these if you want to extend connection to multiple Eve bluetooth devices that are not within a 20ft range. Keep that in mind.If you happen to own a new HomePod mini, which support the new Thread technology, and you have a newer Eve bluetooth device, which also supports Thread, then that Eve bluetooth device WILL NOT connect to the Eve Extend, because it will always prefer the Thread connection over bluetooth. I wasted hours on this, until customer support told me about it.

Works Great! - (Only for 2.4 Networks)
The Eve Extend works just as anticipated! I wake up a few times a night to feed my baby, and love using my Eve Flare as a night light while walking around. However, I was unable to turn off the Flare in my living room from my bedroom after putting my baby back to bed. Adding this extender in between made all the difference! Now I can control the Flare from all the rooms in our place. The only inconvenience I had was during set up, when I found out that this product will not work on a 5.0 wireless network. I had to connect it to our 2.4 network for set up and usage.

Bought two, like so much I’m buying a third
I have several Eve products in my home. Two Eve light switches, five Energy switches, and an Eve sensor. Connected to my Apple Home I enjoy the convenience of being able to automate tasks. But I was plagued like many of you with slow response of the Eve devices due to range limitations of Bluetooth. I don’t have a large home (<1,800 sq.ft) but the spread of devices posed issues sometimes.I was so happy when Eve came out with these extenders. As titled, I have two; one on each end of my home. They have greatly improved my device response. My plan is to buy a third to place near the middle of my home so that I should expect no dead zones from any place inside my home. I use Home automation scripts a lot and they now work great!I’ve seen other reviews here that Eve Extend does not work with Google WiFi. I can’t lend anything to that because I use Eero WiFi and have no problems.

😡 NOT a Bluetooth Extender!
😒 First my biggest complaint, this product is not properly labeled. This is not a Bluetooth extender for Apple HomeKit, this is only an Eve product extender. This will not extend any product other than Eve.🤓 My biggest problem with Apple HomeKit has the range for products and I was really hoping this would work, but it did nothing as I do not own any other eve equipment.

Product is a disaster. Very disappointed.
As soon as I got it, it had problems. Not only was I not able to Connect it to my home through the app but it also refused to connect to my EVE sprinkler. Even after I managed to do a firmware update. And that's not the worst of it. In the process of reseting it, the power port broke off and fell inside. Rattling around. Very cheap build. I had great hopes for the product. Very disappointed.
