These scissors are amazing...ish. Out of the box, they're super sharp. Cutting paper with these things is as easy as breathing. But over time... I've noticed the blades have been sliding farther apart from each other. Now, this would be a simple fix if they left one of the left the head of the bolt connecting the blades together exposed so you could manually tighten them (and maybe even take them apart to sharpen). but they did not give you this option ultimately making them as good as any $5 pair of scissors. But, I still use these things because although its been over 2 months and the distance between the blades is kind of annoying when cutting. Man are these things sharp and man are they just the most elegant to hold. In a couple months, these scissors will be as good as a pile of crap but until then, you can't really find anything better to cut with for arts and crafts.

I am more than satisfied with these scissors if that is what you call such a beautifully crafted instrument. I actually saw a show on a Japanese TV channel NHK Worldwide. They have a program called Great Gear that features products that are designed and made in Japan. The thought and testing that went in to the development of these scissors is beyond what I would ever imagined would be involved. I think these are the finest scissors I have ever seen or used in my life! I actually bought three pair; two for me and one for my daughter. She has used and loved these scissors as much as I have. If you want to have scissors that are "engineered" and not just manufactured then these are the ones to buy.I am extremely pleased with these scissors. Sugoi!

Holy mackerel, this is some smooth paper cutting!!! Easily slices through everything I’ve tested it on. I don’t plan on using it for much more than paper so I can’t attest to how it cuts through other material, but I love the way it feels in my hands!!! Very ergonomic shape, smooth, with a weight that makes it feel very high quality. My only tiny tiny tiny complaint is that there is no screw to tighten the blades in case they ever start to drift.

I have found these to be a little disappointing - there have been times when I've tried cutting something like a package or string/rope, and found the blades to try to flex apart rather than cut through cleanly. They work well for very light-duty materials, though I don't believe I see any significant difference over normal scissors.

Better nutrition and save money. Plus, no pain. These scissors thinly slice the meat and greens, I feel I am getting more nutrition from my food and improved digestion by thinly slicing with these scissors very easily. After I trimmed the leftover, usually wasted meats with the scissors, I had an additional meal of finely sliced beef and brown gravy over rice made from the trimmings, .... I purchased another pair for chores, and I did not get a blister or have a bandaid on my thumb after using the scissors for a long time, my hand felt fine.... very SMART SCISSORS

Great Scissors! The are comfortable to hold and cut wrapping paper like a hot knife through soft butter.

These arrived quicker than expected. The quality for the price is impressive. Ease of use and sharpness both gained 5 stars for me! The ONLY thing I would have liked is a shield or case, but that does not reflect my satisfaction with this purchase.

Handles are somewhat small, but the cutting action makes up for it. Off-center blades provide a tremendous amount of control.
