Summerset Bimini

I was in luck finding this bimini. Turns out the size i needed was a bunch lower priced than other sizes, low enough that i was afraid it was a misprint and.was half expecting it would get cancelled. Not the case. So is it any good? Yes! Fit is perfect for my boat, installation was a breeze, and it performs beautifully. What's not to like about that. The only thing a little odd is the fit of the storage boot - it's way baggy, could be a third the size and still work. But then i managed to lose it somehow, found a replacement that fits, so all is right I'm my world, bimini-wise anyway.

Put it in my boat couple months ago. Very easy to install, just measure and screw it in! The shade itself is a welcome touch to the boat. Have had it up to 40mph, catches a bit of wind but that’s expected. Has held on just fine. I would suggest getting rear support poles, came with straps which work just fine but Poles would hold it up and out of the way when not in use.

If I had not had to deal directly with Summerset the company I would have given this 4 maybe 5 stars but I did contact the company. I tried to get replacement parts at my expense and after a couple of emails of hmmm/haws they just decided to ignore me. It is a good top just hope you never need customer service

The ad and details lead you belive this includes the frame. It states that the item is 16 lbs, which would mean it was the whole frame too.

I ordered the maroon in the 36" height. It was for an older Chaparral Cuddy. It fit like a glove and looks like it was the original that came with the boat. Has held up great so far and the supports seem to be very sturdy. Makes the boat look like new!

Worked like a charm. Not sure why so many people complained about the directions. It only goes together one way. I put 2 on a smokercraft 18ft modified vee hull. One over the front seats, one over the counsel. One top was missing the boot for the top. Amazon took are of it within 3 days. Both tops together were less than the price to repair the old one.

I recently purchased one of these tops off of Amazon. When I measured my boat for the top, the Internet told me to measure WIDTH first, and then length. When I went searching, and found your top, I originally ordered one you had listed as 72" x 91"-96" in the color of maroon. I assumed you had listed it as WIDTH then length, but your numbers are listed opposite of this and did not specify. I received a box with a silver top in it that was 72" x 84". It was both the wrong size and the wrong color. I called Amazon and they quickly sent the replacement. When I tried to install the replacement, I noticed it was NOT 72" wide and 96" long, but that it was the other way around. I was not happy. I decided to see if the silver 84" wide top would fit my boat, and it did, but not perfectly. I'm not exactly happy that it is 24" shorter than what I thought I was getting, either, but I decided I'd keep it. I was tired of dealing with this. Since I don't want to leave it on my boat when it is sitting in the driveway, I tried to take it back off, but one of the thumbscrews and nuts got stuck together. When I tried to loosen it, the nut would spin in its special nut-shaped hole in the plastic bracket. I had to cut the bracket that they were stuck in so that I could get a wrench on the nut and a pliers on the thumbscrew to get them apart. I had to take these parts from the hardware kit from the maroon top, which I am returning. So this top will need a couple of hardware pieces replaced. Overall, I am not satisfied with this purchase. I really wanted the 96" long top, no matter what the color was. I'm going to keep the silver top, but I'm also going to leave a review that reflects this experience. It's a quality piece, but I think you need to be more specific in your listings that 72" is the LENGTH and 91"-96" is the WIDTH.

This top is as described. Easy to install. Makes the boat cooler on those really hot days. Feels like my 16 foot fishing boat is a high-end cruiser. I wish I had gotten this earlier. I up-graded and got rear poles that make the top more stable.

THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A FRAME BE WARNED AND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE COMPLAINED NO REPLY.

I've reviewed this item TWICE now and my reviews are not being posted that I know of. We were not happy with this product, essential items were missing with both the original and replacement item. How do you mount a boat cover with no frame or mounting hardware?

Pas très clair leur description il donne la hauteur mais j'ai pas reçu aucune bars et quincailleries seulement la toile. Très déçu, je recommande pas.

The Bimini top was better than I expected. Mounting hardware is very cheap though. Top preforms very well. Had the boat up to 40 mph and top held very well. I would deffinently recommend this top to anyone for the price. Seems a little unfare though. This top is available from this seller to american customers for 130$ less than in Canada and sells in US Walmart for $127USD. I would recommend crossing the border to buy it.

Still no poles so returned the original and the replacement.
