Don't buy doesn't last
To start with it worked great for a few months until it decided that one of the cutters broke.Contacted the seller who replied and wanted pictures. Sent pictures and told the that it had only been used to cut chips but never got a reply back and they never offered a replacement.I'd asked for a replacement cutter but as of now at nearly 2 months of waiting nothing has turned up.I wouldn't recommend this product and would definitely go for a more expensive one.

Good product, questionable build quality
If you're currently cutting your potatoes by hand with a knife, I highly recommend getting this.Pros:- very quick at cutting potatoes- comes with a spare grate- super easy to use and cleanCons:- the build quality feels okay until you have a particularly stubborn potato, I do worry it will break or bend (but it hasn't yet!)- the suction mechanism doesn't work at all for me.- it doesn't fit larger potatoes.Overall thoughts:I do recommend this. It's cheap and it does the job I need it to do.

Potato cutter
It’s nice and light weight. But the suction doesn’t work well at all. I’ve tried it on the surface of the side. On my glass cutting board. With the cup wet and with it dry. It just doesn’t hold unfortunately.

Good for the price. Edit: maybe not.
Update after a week: it fell to pieces on the 9th potato. I take it back. This is garbage and I should have known better. The blades are far too flimsy and not even joined together, just criss-crossed in a lattice which is destined to buckle and pop out with the slightest resistance. Once it’s even slightly bent, the whole thing becomes useless.Bear this in mind: I have used this just once, for about eight potatoes, and it worked great. I'm happy with my purchase. But here's the thing - this is a cheaply-made gadget. When I chose it, I also saw similar-functioning devices for around £50 and even £150. Those much more expensive machine will probably last a whole lot longer. Having read the reviews for this chipper, I half-expected it to explode into pieces on the first spud. However, I heeded the advice to soften my pototoes a bit in the microwave first, and I used a smooth but firm push to avoid fighting it if a potato pushed back. It's clear the flimsy blades would be the first thing to bend and break (rather than a hard potato). So, as long as you treat this with the above in mind - be gentle with it - it will make a fussy job into an absolute doddle. I had no problem sticking it to my work surface with the sucker on the base, either. If this thing does fail / go blunt / fall apart within the first few uses, I'll be back to update my review. But if I can use it on, say, ten occasions with success, I'll be moderately happy. And at the price, I'd probably buy a new one.
