Very Impressive Wolverine!
I'm a true size 9, normal width in shoes. I rarely have to go a size up or down in shoes. Yeah there's some times that I have to but its not often. I own Nike, New Balance, Vans, and Adidas in casual/athletic shoes and Gucci, Ferragamo, Cole Haan, Churchs, and Florsheim in dress shoes. Size 9 is true at least for me when it comes to all these guys. That said I had to send my Hartmann's back for a size 8.5, I hope the next ones fit since they felt a whole size too big. Nonetheless these are some really nice shoes, I didn't know that Wolverine was making shoes like this. I imagine they'll go just right with jeans and a nice oxford since that's what I usually wear. I like the details on these, there's black piping that compliments the shoe along with the waxed black laces. The brown is more of a antique brown/mocha color. They do look like they'll last a 1000 miles and beyond. I really wanted to get some Frye boots, but, from the reviews that I read it seems Frye has taken a serious dip. I'll spend on my shoes no problem, but, my money needs to be well spent on something of quality that will last. Amazon recommended these in a side bar and after looking at them at Zappos where you can get a better look at of any shoe I went for it. Amazon also had a great deal going on these shoes as well, which made it a little easier for me to go for it.Well, like I said before I did have to send them back so my review is from wearing them around the house and checking them out when I pulled them out of the box.I hope to give a later update of the shoe after putting some miles on them when they arrive. I hope this is of help to any potential buyer who is considering the Hartmann's.Cheers

Excellent Boots
Beautiful, high-quality boots. Cannot rate them 5/5 as I haven't put them through rigorous field use yet. Fit a bit large, similar to the Red Wing Iron Rangers; would recommend going 1.5 or 1.0 sizes smaller than you usually wear

Rugged looking, troublesome wood heels
Rugged looking, reminiscent of US Ww2 Para boots. BUT wood heels show crack after 5 months casual wearing in city. Also, are technically dress boots - despite having the name 1000 mile. Have also been discontinued by the manufacturer.
