Of the 50 I purchased, I planned to use 20 to mount diamond plate "step treads" to a boat trailer. Of the 20 screws I installed, the head sheared off 5 of them with moderate tightening force using just a tee-handle hex wrench and a 1/4" socket wrench on the nut side. These are soft and poor quality for anything that needs structural integrity.UPDATE - Contacted seller to express concern. Responded promptly indicating that these have a tensile strength of 500 and offered to replace them. Hoping I just got a bad batch but kudos to the seller for supporting their customer.

The hex opening strips very easily.

These look great but the Allen socket on the head isn't deep enough and I've stripped about 25% of them and I had to cut them out to put in new ones.Just poorly made.

This is a quality product and it came at a great price. My immediate need was for a Live Edge Wood and Resign Dining Table project. I learned that it is best to use threaded inserts and screw into them. I wanted to get it right the first time and each of these screws worked perfectly well - they fit like a glove. So, I certainly have more than I needed for this project, but I await my next opportunity to use the rest.

I purchased 25 of these. Appearances we're good. Threaded fine. My only negative was that 3 of them stripped out at the Allen socket. I was using a small 1/4" rachet. As long as you consider these light duty they will be fine.

The Allen opening on the button head does not fit a 5/32 Allen as it should. I tried metric Allen's as well & none fit it without being too tight or too loose. I would return but I had to shorten them slightly to fit the application & did not attempt to tighten with an Allen until they had already been cut.

I tried both SAE and Metric Allen wrenches and neither one of them were able to adequately tightening of the screws, they easily strip out.

I used these to replace screws on my rock sliders. They work great, pass the magnet test and the finish on them is very nice.
