Comparing to a Breville Juice Fountain
I had first tried a Breville juice fountain juicer, and I hated it so much, I returned it. After a lot of research and reading most of the reviews here on Amazon, I decided to buy this SKG juicer. It's double the price of the Breville, but so worth it.The wide chute makes this the only masticating juicer I could find that didn't require much more prep work than the centrifugal juicers. It really does chew up almost anything you feed in, and even though it's a "slow" juicer, it keeps up as I chop and feed. It doesn't take much time to make my juices. It's incredibly quiet, too! The centrifugal juicer sounded like a lawnmower in the kitchen, but this one is so quiet that we can have a conversation with it running. It doesn't even scare my rabbits, who used to run and hide when they heard the other juicer start up.Comparing it to the Breville, the output is amazing, nearly double the amount I was getting, so I've been adjusting the recipes to use less produce. I'm using less, but getting more juice! With the Breville, the pulp came out sopping wet. This one comes out nearly bone dry. The amount of pulp is much less, so I don't feel like I'm wasting so much produce. Also, it's dry enough that I can use the apples, zucchini, and carrots to make tasty breads, and the pulp from bell peppers to make breakfast scrambles.I also like the design of this juicer better. For one thing, the machine itself is beautiful. I don't think I've ever said that about an appliance. The red is a sleek, racecar red, and even though I put it away each day, it would look fine sitting on the counter. It's a heavy little beast, very well built, and I'm glad there's the handle. The collection cups are simple and stackable, so they take up less room when it's put away. They're also simple to empty, because there are no lids over them. Again, comparing to the Breville, that had to be turned off and taken apart to empty the pulp output. Also, the Breville had an opaque cover, so you couldn't see if the pulp was backing up into the juicer and needed to be emptied. Because that produced SO MUCH pulp, it needed to be stopped and emptied constantly. The SKG jets out the little bricks of dry pulp, and you just pick the cup up and dump it. Simple. The juice collection is also much better. Again, no lid to take off when I dump the juice into a larger container, and the best part is the little stopper at the tip, so you can just close it and keep the juicer running when you need to empty the juice. This might be my favorite feature of the juicer. The quality of the juice is also so much better! The Breville produced juice that was very foamy and separated. For every cup of juice, it was at least 1/3 foam. The SKG doesn't foam much, if at all. The taste is better too, without the heat from the spinning blades of the centrifugal style juicer. The only complaint I have is that when I juice kale or parsley, I have to strain it (I use a nutmilk bag) because it is downright chunky. It produces an amazing amount from the leafy greens compared to the centrifugal juicer, almost twice as much with half the amount, so I can't complain too much about that. It does add an extra step that I feel is necessary, but with it making so much juice with so little leafy greens, it's worth doing. As for cleanup, cleaning a juicer is never fun, but this one isn't too bad. I wonder about the lifespan of the little silicone thing at the bottom that has to be pulled out to clean the pulp chute, but since this has such a good warranty, I'm not worried about it. That tiny piece is the only part of this juicer that doesn't feel like it's solidly built. If this was the first juicer I had bought, I would be happy. Because I can compare it to the other juicer, I'm even happier! It's far superior in almost every aspect. I'm very happy with this juicer.

I've been happily using the SKG juicer for several weeks now
After an initial bump (must admit, mostly of own doing), I've been happily using the SKG juicer for several weeks now. It is a great product, does what it purports to do, does it quietly, efficiently and almost hassle-free. For the prospective users I have a few tips, which I've learned from my initial bumpy experience and subsequent trouble free use of SKG.1. While you can certainly feed big chunks into it, DO NOT! It isn't much of extra work to cut your produce into smaller chunks, but it guarantees a smooth and very tasty result and saves you any possible aggravations.2. DO NOT neglect the Reverse button, both at the end (as it helps cleaning) and in the process of juicing (as it heightens its productivity)3. Disassemble and wash all parts immediately after juicing. The washing process will so much easier and you'll enjoy drinking your wonderful juice without the pesky thoughts of "Oh...I still have to wash it." It only takes a few minutes to do it, if you are prompt, but you will have to work harder otherwise. Finally, I just want to add a few words about my wonderful experience with the service department. Not sure "Michael" was his real name or a nickname for many other technical support people, but I always received a prompt, courteous and very helpful response to all my email inquiries. They even were prompt to take the responsibility for my initial bump, which as I mentioned above, was all my doing: I had fed the juicer too quickly and with big pieces of veggies, and the juicer got stuck; then I forget the power of the Reverse button and had trouble disassembling it. All was "cured" and I remain a happy customer.

Best Juicer for the price and keep juices longer!!
This juicer is amazing and I've had a lot of experience with juicers. I have used the centrifugal juicers, slow press, cold press and this masticating juicer. This juicer definitely wins by far as far as ease of use, quality of juice, taste, and ease of cleaning. It had a wide shoot so I chop up veggies to fit down the shoot and it rarely jams. If it does there is an awesome reverse button that makes it easy to clear out. Simple. Juice does not come out foamy. It lasts longer with more nutrients. It does have pulp so if you want less pulp you'll have to strain it before drinking (this is part of the -1/2 a star) because it should be able to have less pulp. I don't know how this could be fixed and I don't care if it does ever get fixed because some people may be looking for more pulp. I am not so I strain it, not a big deal, but it would be cool to have a controlled option. However design wise this may be impossible or may make the machine larger. Moving forward. Easy clean up once you figure out how to use the hook end of the brush to clean one of the main pieces. Otherwise a breeze. The second (-1/2 star) comes from the leaking gasket part. I don't know if mine has a flaw or if everyone experiences this and just doesn't care, but every time I juice I have a puddle of juice that comes out of the bottom. Like it's not properly sealed. It's always done this. I just clean the bottom of the machine every time, it's a bit annoying but because I like the machine so much I just clean it and move on. However, for this review it should be noted as an additional cleanup aspect. As a nutritional therapist, I have recommended this model juicer to all my clients who want to do a juice cleanse. It's the best product for the money. Everyone that has purchased from my recommendations loves then machine!!! Hope this review helps! :)
