Worked perfectly. Exactly what I needed
The picture is of the old one I replaced. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. And the HVAC Blower Motor Resistor died on me. So I ordered a new one. And it works perfect.Pain in the neck to remove and replace. But was well worth it. Without a working one I had no heat or ac.Fast shipping and delivery. A+++

And then, there was Air Conditioning!
After watching a buddy of mine try to come up with five different (terrible) back yard solutions to fix his mother's AC in her 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and one order of the incorrect part which he said was the right one, that's when I stepped in and ordered this part. It is a direct fit replacement and fits perfect. I did, however, have to go to our local Napa andalso purchase a Dorman Blower Motor Speed Resistor Harness Pigtail part #973-304. I had to purchase the connector after a little bit of research on Google I found out that the resistors on these jeeps hit a certain age and just begin heating up until the heat to a point where they actually overheat and melt black resistor (control) box and/or its contents and wiring attached. My friend's mom's had melted the circuit board inside the box AND the three wire connector going into the box beyond repair.A little piece of extra information that may save you the headache of researching it. When you get the Dorman connector it will come unassembled and with too many wires, which may throw you off. Before you begin, make sure you gather a few good electrical shrink butt connectors and a piece of shrink tube wide enough to go around all 3 wires and butt connectors. Electrical tape had been used under her dash prior and due to the heat of the wires the tape had become a gooey, sticky nightmare. IMPORTANT: Prior to cutting the old 3 wire connector from under the dash make note of which colored wire goes into which position of the connector when it's snapped in Black goes on what I would call the outer side of the box, the middle is the brown/yellow and the red wire goes what i would call the inner (middle of the box when snapped in). Once you note the lineup go ahead and cut the connector leaving a good length still attached to the vehicle and keep all three wires an even length. Now the colors of wiring in the replacement kit are blue and green. Why? I have no earthly idea. Use two of the green wires (they are fatter) and connect one to the black and one to the red wire using your shrink butt connectors. Then connect a blue wire to the brown/yellow via same procedure. After all three wires are connected slide your shrink tube over all three wires but don't shrink it up yet so it's easy to make sure you have the correct wire color coming down into the correct slot in the connector. Slide the little gold contacts into the correct slot of the connectors and after all three are in and you verify they are correct matchup as before push in the little retaining clip behind. Go ahead and heat your shrink tube carefully around the three butt connectors nice and snug. and thats a wrap. plug into your freshly installed black box, plug the new 2 wire connector into the blower and you're done!I would have taken pictures of all of this had I thought of it sooner. But hopefully that helps save someone from the nightmare we went through. Cheers!I feel it might also be helpful to tell you why the incorrect part was ordered initially, The reason the incorrect part was ordered prior to this one was because there is no replacement part sold that has both the 2 wire and the 3 wire connectors with it. So prior to my involvement in the project I had my buddy look at the amazon search results and tell me which part to order and he was concerned about the three wires, because that is what had burned, so he picked the only part that had 3 wires included.

Worked on 2000 WJ limited with climate control
8/6/2025 Updated review original review left below.....the 1st review was positive, it didnt last 24hrs in the southwest az heat... today was 119degrees... unit failed on trip home a 20 min trip, pretty disappointed with it overall, will be requesting a return and refund. Might maybe work in milder climates but im not in a milder climate and it didnt work out well here. Did some research and the correct part for 2000 grand cherokee has long spiky heat sinks this doesn't and that is very likely the issue. Either way inferior product that made less than 4 days functionality. Definitely not my best purchase. Wish I could give less than 1 star or negative stars!8/5/25Preliminary review, looks to be OEM quality, looks just like the original. I had the typical 1 burnt pin issue and this solved that problem. No more blower cutting out in my 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited...full blower power and full range of speeds just like it supposed to be 100% functionality.. So far 2.5 days of a nice cool car worth every penny and wish I did it 2 weeks earlier as the Yuma AZ sun isn't polite in the summer. It also fit just like OEM it replaced, plugged into the blower like the original did, and overall I am absolutely happy with it. The installation was as easy as 2 screws below the glove box and 1 plug into th3 unit and one plug and wires into the blower. I chose not to route its cable same as oem as that would have required more disassmbly and instead tucked the wire up with zip ties. If by chance it fails I will pop in and update this review as I value the reviews of others who have done so.

Great Value and service
It was a matter of removing the old unit and plugging in the cables and re-installing, only 2 screws hold it in place. Very easy. Product was good value, I was quoted $90 for a 2nd hand from the wreckers with no warranty.

Poor manufacturing and QC
Took a flyer on this because it ships so quick, part lasted 1 week and pooped out, classic bad resistor problem of blower motor won't turn off when the car is off. Not worth it people, the success rate of this manufacturer's part is way too low to take a chance...
