HaywardW3T-CELL-9 TurboCell Salt Chlorination Cell for In-Ground Swimming Pools up to 25,000 Gallons

Additional 90 days was added to the 3 year warranty when I registered. My previous cell lasted 7 years, it was a T-cell-3 were this one is a W3T-cell-3 (basically the same from what I understand). I have a small pool and do not run the pump for long periods of time. Usually about 3 - 4 hours a day at a medium speed (variable speed pump). I always wondered which direction the water flow should go since my original installation manual shows one way and the directions that came with the unit show another. I installed it with the power cord down and towards the pool (flow exits at power cord).

Seems very expensive for what it likely costs to manufacture but it worked just fine, it installed in less than 5 minutes and fixed my problem

Having gone through 4 of these cells over the years, plan on replacing it about every 3 years (if pool is kept up all year round). Hayward have lasted the longest. Off brands are lucky to get 2 years. Looking at the value analysis (and family harassment factor when the pool is down), stick with the Hayward.Would like to see some kind of indication when the cell has gone bad. You have monitor the chemicals to determine if it isn't work correctly. However, I have had one say that salt was low consistently and finally said I have added WAY TOO much salt to be evaporating. All other read out on the salt generator console indicated it was working correctly. Replaced the cell and had a salt level of 2X the max. Wound out having to drain a good amount of water to get the salinity down to a respectable level. Costly less both in salt and water bill

What a difference a new cell made. Super easy to keep pool in beautiful shape with a new one!

My 7 year old salt cell went kaput according to the pool guy (well past life expectancy). I was able to install this in about 5-10 minutes tops and the pool is maintaining chlorine levels once again.

Pricy but what do you expect. installed along with 500 lbs of salt after original unit quit last year. Having a salt water pool is so much better, just be sure to wash out the unit every time you do a filter clean/backwash. interesting observation is that we had some roots from a cypress tree getting under the coping over the winter, putting the pool back into a salt environment killed the roots within a week...

My salt system started to read extremely low salt levels, which didn't make sense. After trying to "trick" the system by recalibrating for a few days, I gave in and bought a new T-cell. Now my salt system works good as new. I've actually reduced the output by half compared to my previous cell since my chlorine levels are on the high side with this new cell. Note that the "W" replacement model is also available on Amazon, which is $1 cheaper, but only has a 1 year warranty compared to this one.

Delivered May 13, 2020. Installed May 16, 2020. Didn't work.Emailed Hayward May 18, 2020, detailing the problem (unit reads zero salt, actual salt level 3400 ppm)Return window closed on Jun 12, 2020.Hayward replied to my email June 16, 2020 with the following "For cleaning the salt cell, we recommend a solution of 4:1 parts water to muriatic acid." Absolutely useless and irrelevant.I replied June 30, clarifying the issue, confirmed by more tests. No reply from Hayward yet.

I only give it four stars rather than five because the product is designed to only last a few seasons and is ridiculously expensive. HOWEVER, add for purchasing it here... that's a five star experience. Lowest price I could find, delivered much faster than promised, installed in a flash, and 100% performance. My old cell apparently had not been working very well for quite some time. The new cell generates at 2.5 times the rate. If your salt readings have dropped suddenly and/or erratically and your system has suddenly stopped generating chlorine, replacing your TCELL is your solution and this is the best place to buy it.

Purchased on Saturday. Arrived first thing Monday. Installed in 5 minutes Monday afternoon. No problem at all connecting it. No reconfiguration of the settings was required. My pool had been green and the salt level read was incorrect before. With this new cell installed, everything back to normal. Normally I would have ordered a part for my pool through my pool guy. Glad I found it on amazon. Was so easy and probably saved a few hundred dollars.

I have had this type of system working on my pool since 2004. With regular maintenance, the cell has lasted over 8 years, before I've had to replace it. It is very reliable.
