The wire is thick and strong enough for a cow. lol The hooks are very very hard to open. I am going to return this item and go to my pet stores.

Heavy duty cable. Latches take two hands to open, not sure i like that design.

THE LATCH BROKE DURING 2ND USE!!!! and this was a small dog, the item is rated for a large dog. I felt safe using the product because is was an Amazon sponsored product. We lost our beloved Kelsey because of the failure of their product. The tieout was found in the middle of the yard, so she wasn't even pulling on it when it fell off her. I wrote to the company with no response. I would ask that Amazon no longer sponsor their products if they are going to be this heartless as to not even respond when a flaw in their product was pointed out which resulted in such a great loss! Attached is a picture of the broken link. I hope this review will keep this from devastating another family!

Perfect for tying the dogs up when we go camping!

Only 14 months old and the plastic coating is breaking off all over this line and collecting dirt.

I liked it at first it seemed strong, at least I thought that until this morning. My 35 pound dog just snapped it. It is made to hold a 125 pound dog. It seems like whenever it got cold the leash lost its durability and became weak. So i spent 10 minutes chasing my dog around the yard hoping she did not run into the road and get hit. I would not recommend it if you live where it gets cold.

Delivery was over a week late, but was what we were looking for!
