Another Hammond winner
Like most of Lee's books, this one takes you where she says you will go. If drawing realistically is your goal, this will help you get there.

Mindlessly copying is not drawing
If you are serious about wanting to learn how to draw, this book is not what you're looking for. The basic principle of this book is to copy what you see without in-depth understanding of it. The same method, "Make a grid, map out the tones and blend", is applied over and over through all the examples. There, this is the essence of the book and I just saved you $15. If you really want to learn how to draw, do not underestimate yourself with this book and go with Andrew Loomis, Burne Hogarth or Michael Hampton's books, you deserve it.
