I love these liquid chalk pens. I couldn't figure out how to use them at first, but after a while I got the hang of it. All you have to do is shake it up and then press the pen part down vertically until the writing part goes down and wait for some of the liquid starts pouring out. It has two different tips to write with - one is wide and the other is pointed. I personally like the pointed side better because it comes out smoother and cleaner. With the wide side, it can sometimes come out streaky; if not for that, I'd be giving it five stars. Changing which one you're writing with can be a little messy as well because you have to take it out, flip it around, and put it back in with your fingers, so some of the liquid chalk will get on you. It's an easy clean up though so it's not really a big deal. You can use these on any smooth surface. On the fridge, I have to-do lists, grocery lists, my daughter’s chore list and am keeping track of her allowance. In the bathroom, my daughter drew some doodles on her mirror to brighten it up. My toddler is into drawing on windows these days and I purchased some chalk markers earlier but we were so limited in our drawings because most chalk markers in the market are only limited to primary colors. I'm delighted that there's black and brown here! The markers are also odorless, which is an important factor in choosing the right set for my boy.
