It’s lightweight and easy to carry, great for travel. I picked this one with the long plates so it can get close to my roots, making curling quick and precise for short hair. It heats up in just 15 seconds, and I love that I can adjust the temperature to avoid damaging my hair.

I would recommend using very low settings when starting but it's the perfect size and there are multiple temperature choices. It's small and handy and works very well. I would recommend taking it slow and starting again with very low settings till you find what works well for you. I would not use it on less expensive doll hair. Usually if you buy doll hair or you can look it up what kinds of doll hair will handle straighteners or curlers. So great but use with caution

I'm actually not using this on my hair. I'm using it to flatten ribbon yarn that's out of shape from being used in a crochet project and then undone because I didn't like it. The yarn wasn't nice and flat anymore. I couldn't stand it all squashed and twisted up! I have 2 different types of ribbon yarn, cotton that can handle heat but the other is polyester and isn't supposed to be ironed so I needed something with adjustable heat. This little flat iron is had low enough temperatures so I wouldn't melt the polyester yarn. This was perfect! The cotton Yarn was able to handle heat around 350-380 degrees in order to flatten it back to the original shape. The polyester yarn straightened out beautifully on 270 degrees with just one pass of the iron! So I sat down and listened to my favorite show while I ran this great little iron over my yarn to get it back to it's beautiful flat ribbon smoothness! I was worried about the buttons being on the inside of the iron but the area where they're located doesn't touch the other side when you close the iron to use it, so nothing gets pressed by mistake!! It's great, no accidentally hitting the buttons if they were on the outside! The end of the iron has a nice angled tip that makes it easy to hold (if I were using it on my hair). It heats up super fast and shuts off automatically if it's on for too long (I don't know how long before it turns off). I added pics and included my yarn too, it's hard to see how twisted and scrunched the yarn is before running it through the iron but you can see how nice and smooth it is afterwards. And I didn't need to keep passing the iron over the yarn, one pass was all it took. I may try it on my hair someday too! Lol I have a lot of ribbon yarn and I'm happy knowing that I can restore it to it's original smoothness if I need to!

Nice simple small flat iron! It also gets really hot really fast so be careful not to burn yourself like I did the first time I used it- 😭

This could have really been a great flat iron. I liked the size of the metal plates, the lengthof the cord, and it heated up really fast. I liked that you could control the temperature also. The flat iron is very light weight and easy to manage. I loved everything about it, except that the metal plates didn't meet or lay flat against each other as they should, which is the most important feature. It wasn't able to grip my hair, especially when it was a small amount of hair (even when I squeezed it tight) . I recently got my hair cut and it's about a half an inch or so in the back. This flat iron couldn't curl that part of my hair because it wouldn't grip it. This is the reason for 3 stars. If you have thicker hair or don't need it for very short hair, then it will work fine for you. But if you are buying specifically for very short hair, you may want to rethink this one. I've attached pictures, including some pictures with the light shining through so you can see the gap that you otherwise wouldn't notice.

Love it , doesn’t get too hot to burn your hair off and works perfect for short hair
