Ethical 5-Inch Cat Or Reptile Stoneware Dish

The Cadillac of inexpensive cat dishes. Heavyweight, won't tip over, not too deep, solid, easily cleaned. perfect volume. I'd drink or eat from this in an emergency. Or maybe just a drunken stupor. Provided it wasn't cat food. I would definitely drink beer from one of these. I got 5 of them for only 3 cats just to have backups in case they disappear one day. The dishes, that is. I am hoping the cats don't disappear, but if they did, I think I could find other uses for these babies.

The bowl shipped is not the one pictured in the listing though this is not to say it is not a well made 5" stoneware bowl. It is just not the one pictured. The bowl shipped has straighter sides and the outside glaze is more of a cream color rather than the brown pictured. The inside glaze is the blue pictured. If you look at the Amazon listing for the 7.5" stoneware dog dish from the same vendor you will what this dish actually looks like. But with all of that said, the dish appears to be well made and it is a nice size for a cat to eat out of. To me, it is a bit shallow for water but a great size for food or treats.

Dish I received does not look like the one pictured. The sides are much steeper and the interior has more of an angular corner for food to get stuck in. My cat doesn't like this... she likes shallow sloping bowls that don't tickle her whiskers while she eats. Color is off as well.

These bowls would be great, had I received the ones I ordered. I ordered the shallow ones with curved sides and what I received was the bigger, taller ones with straight, deeper sides. They are much harder to clean moist cat food out of. Kept them because it would be too much of a pain to return (package up, address, add postage and take to post office). I would too much for that. Just make sure you receive the correct item(s) ordered.

I wanted a water bowl that was shallow and a little larger. This is perfect! My finches love to take baths. The bowl I had before was to small and by mid day they always had most of the water splashed out. This one is great it's shallow, larger and the sides are a little higher, so the water does not get splashed out like the other bowl. I will be purchasing a couple more to rotate so I can always have clean bowls of water while I clean the dirty ones!

The bowl was sent to a woman abusive retreat for a project they due. I think it's a Chinese art form. They get a bowl each and break it and glue it back together using gold paint/glue. It is called Defend the Innocent. Showing you that even if your broken you can be put back together with the right techniques. The program is in the organization with Younique makeup and skin care. This program is 100% paid for by the foundation. All the women have to do is get their way either to Utah or Georgia. Everything is given to them. They have therapist, other women who do your make up, you get your pictures done. There is so much to help these women who have been sexually assaulted as a child or adult. Glad I could buy a perfect bowl. Thank you.

Kind of resembles the product pictures, but the sides are straight up, not angled like in the pictures. The bowl is also an off-white on the outside not tan or light brown. Works for what I needed if for, but seller needs more accurate photos.

The dish itself is fine for my dog, but it is most definitely NOT the item pictured. Someone else posted an image and that is the same bowl I received. The pictured dish looks handmade with uneven sides and a gentle slope; the one we received was clearly manufactured and had steep edges. Again, works fine but disappointed that it's not what I thought it would be. The color is off as well.
