When God Thinks of You...He Smiles Journal (A Promise Journal) Diary – August 1, 2011

I am a big fan of the Ellie Claire journal books and was so excited to find one that was covered in butterflies one of my favorite symbols. I had just finished writing in my one journal and pulled this one out to begin writing. I am excited about all the normal journal features that this collection offers - heavy weight paper, beautiful hardcover designs, back pocket for notes, etc. My disappointment was that an entire page is dedicated to a poem of thought for a day so you only can write on the right hand side of the book. I find this a bit frustrating since I sometimes journal several pages at a time each day. This is perfect if you are someone that journals brief notes and can find that one page is enough to capture your thoughts. I will go through this book in half the time as my other journals so I am considering using it as a gratitude journal rather for my regular writing. Regardless, it is still a beautiful book and will become part of my treasured collection for whatever reason I choose to use it.

This is a really lovely journal. I bought two of them as gifts for my mom and a friend. Not all quotes are scripture, but they are all positive and inspirational. If you're looking for an everyday "dear diary" type journal, this isn't for you. If you want something different, with positive prompts, this is it. It's a nice book and makes a wonderful gift.

This is more like a devotional/journal as only every other page has lines to write. The left side of the page has verses of scripture and quotes on God's love and grace, which is nice, but don't expect there to be lines on every page.

An amazing journal...love the scriptures and thought starters and insight of other seekers who have been ontheir "Journey of Faith " for many many years....Love Ellie Claire Journals...the best!

This was a gift for a friend, but i flipped through and it's inspirational and lovely. It's a perfect journal for teen girls wanting to grow closer to God
