CREATABLE WORLD GGG53 Deluxe Character Kit Customisable Doll, Creative Play for All Kids 6 Years Old and Up, Copper Straight Hair

I first came across the idea of ‘gender neutral’ dolls on a doll forum when I was researching and this led me to the Creatable World range on Amazon. I wanted to buy something different to amuse my eight year old granddaughter when her mother, my daughter, went into labour with the new baby, so decided these would be ideal. I bought two kits – GGG53 with copper straight hair and GGG5 with black straight hair, as these were the two that appealed to me the most out of the range (I think there are five in the range at present). I also found the GGG56 character (dark blonde curly) online secondhand (nude) and bought that one too. I didn’t think that one doll (or character) was enough to make a good game. So when the time came I took the new boxes to my granddaughter to see what she made of them. You lift the lids and there are the dolls packed nicely with their clothes into the moulded clear plastic.. You just take the dolls and items out, and ready to play straight away – no cutting off awkward plastic ties. (Then when you have finished the doll and the items all go back into the same place – very neat). My granddaughter took the lids off – her eyes swept the boxes – and she said ‘Oh I get it – they are boys, but they are girls too!’. We got everything out and she immediately slammed on the dolls’ wigs making them (in her opinion) into ‘girls’. We dressed them up but she didn’t play with them as such, at first. I give these dolls the thumbs up for quality and durability. They are jointed at elbows, wrists, knees and ankles making them very poseable. The clothes are varied, fit well and very well made . Each kit comes with three pairs of shoes and other items like bags, glasses. At a later stage, I tried a few Barbie clothes on these dolls – some items iike skirts, shorts etc will be ok and even some dresses. After a while, my ten year old grandson drifted in. I asked him if he would like to ‘create a character’ (I deliberately didn’t say ‘play with these dolls’) but was still quite surprised when he did. He took over GGG56 and left him with short hair and dressed him up (he said) as a rock star. Then we all played a department store game with the characters buying clothes and interacting with each other. My granddaughter gave each character two names – a typical girls name and a typical boys name. I asked my granddaughter if she was rating the kits out of five stars what would she give them – she said four because she felt there could be more clothes. I thought for the money they were good value. Since I bought (before Xmas ’19) the price has dropped which makes me wonder if these dolls are not selling as well as Mattel thought they would. I see that some people are buying the kits, splitting them up and selling the pieces individually as buy it now or auction online. This would be an extremely expensive way to acquire these dolls and if you are thinking of buying, I would suggest it would be far better to buy a full kit, brand new. The wigs are not really interchangeable between the dolls as their fringe, or front bit of hair, is always showing (unless you like a two-tone colour look!). I also didn’t think the wigs fitted as well as they should (though not too bad). Another review I read said that they would’ve preferred the dolls to be bald, with different wigs – I think that would’ve been my best choice too. I liked these dolls, my granddaughter did too – but when all’s said and done, they are just nice little dress-up dolls with pre-teen body.

These dolls are beautiful! They offer a chance to style however you feel. Amazing selection of clothing and accessories, the quality of which are as good as you would expect. Great item, let the children explore and be seen!

Bit expensive but good accessories and mix and match clothes well made. Wigs a bit tricky to keep on, best wrapped with a ribbon to hold on and hide the edges.

A good toy for any child. The possibilities ones mind can come up with are endless

Wanted one of theses sets for a while and got this for a great price. Arrived well packed and in perfect condition and in less than 24 hours! What a service! Very happy

This was a huge hit at Christmas for my Nice. Really adored it and had great fun with the different clothes.

Brilliant idea although I have a 7 year old daughter that doesn’t spend much time with dolls. I was hoping to keep her young with dolls and think it’s brilliant. Her younger sister loves it age 5.

Fatti veramente bene e gli abitini pieni di dettagli. Meritano sicuramente la spesa e secondo me sono molto adatti sia alle bimbe sia ai collezionisti. Avrei solo fatto la testa più piccola ma per il resto ok.

Je n'ai pas d'enfants, je collectionne juste les poupées et je suis tombée en amour sur celles-ci dès que j'en ai entendu parlé la première fois ! Pour un enfant, cela permet de créer son propre personnage (ce que je fais en tant qu'adulte et auteure :D ) et de développer son imagination. Dès que ma petite nièce aura grandit, je pense que je lui en prendrais. Les vêtements bien que variés sont un peu fades, c'est dommage, mais j'ai l'intention de leur en faire d'autres de toute façon, pour qu'ils correspondent à l'histoire que j'écris pour eux. Je suis juste déçu par la perruque supplémentaire. Trop rigide et surtout le headcap en plastique est visible, c'est moche. du coup, ayant plusieurs de ces poupées, celles aux cheveux lisses ont les cheveux courts et celles aux cheveux bouclés les ont longs car le Headcap est caché par les boucles. Il faudrait repenser la manière de les mettre. J'espère que mattel n'a pas abandonné ces poupées et que nous en auront d'autres ! De jolies rousses carotte (parce que celle-ci n'est pas vraiment rousse ^^') différentes teintes de blond, de chatain, peut-être des cheveux colorés ? Possibilité de leur ajouter des accessoires de type plâtre, des béquilles, des fauteuil roulant, appareil auditifs, du vitiligo, des prothèse, des albinos ? Vous l'avez fait pour les barbies, alors pourquoi pas pour celles-là ? :) J'aurais bien demander des poupées fantastiques de cette gamme (sirènes, elfes ou même centaures non-genré, après tout pourquoi pas ? Offrez aux enfants la possibilité de créer toute sorte d'histoires :) ) mais faudrait-il qu'elles ne soient pas laissées de côté par Mattel...

..da ich schon einen asiatischen Jungen gekauft hatte ( Ja ich sehe in ihm auch einen jungen) wollte ich noch unbednigt den Rothaarigen haben Wie beim Asiaten , hab ich ebenso gezögert ihn zu kaufen weil der preis sehr hoch war Über die Qualität: Wie beim Asiaten ist die Puppe Beweglich, am Kopf, Schultern, Ellenbogen, Handgelenk, Hüften, Knie UND Knöchel (Wow Mattel kann doch Qualität machen wenn sie wollen) Die Püppchen kommen sogar mit Unterhemd und Shorts Die Mode ist sehr gut qualitäte, alles ist gut zusammen genäht und passt ohne Probleme Da ich allerdings leider den 2. Wave bekommen haben kann ich leider nichts über die Tasche sagen die der 1. Wave hatte allerdings laut den Bildern die ich von den Werbe fotos entnehmen schätz ich mal das es eine Stoff Tasche(?) ist? Zum Gesamt Eindruck: Wie ich bereits schon sagte Mattel KANN wenn sie wollen gute Qualität liefern, die Puppe ist stabil hält einiges aus, und das Statement was sie ausdrücken , das sie Geschlechtsneutral sind ist eine Sache für sich, Ich bin selber Mutter und kaufe das was meine Kinder haben wollen Und da die Puppe zudem zeit Punkt 19 euro im Angebot war musste ich zugreifen, ich finde den Original preis extrem Überteuert zumal die Puppen jetzt im 2.Wave sind und Mattel gerne sachen weglässt finde ich es vollkommen in Ordnung Also mein Rat an sie.. Greiffen sie zu wenn sie unter 20 euro sind Hier 4 Sterne von mir weil es mit dem Preisfall etwas ZU lange gedauert hat

Este es mi cuarto muñeco de esta serie. La peluca se cae con sólo mirarla, así que se queda aparcada en la caja. Como el resto de muñecos de esta serie, la presentación en la caja es impecable. Una vez retiramos la cubierta de cartón (se desliza como si fuera un cajón), tenemos a la vista la figura y todos los accesorios y ropa incluidos. Cada prenda de ropa está excelentemente cosida y rematada. La chaqueta de cuero tiene incluso un forro interior. A diferencia de otros modelos este no trae demasiado fijador en el pelo y parece tener menos volumen que otros, por lo que la peluca se cae constantemente. En mi caso he decidido que sea chico, aunque como chica de pelo corto funcionaría muy bien también. Al igual que el resto de la colección, tiene muchas articulaciones y se nota un producto de calidad. El cuerpo es muy ligero y ciertamente muy fácil de cambiar de ropa. Adoro la camisa y las deportivas. Y por supuesto comparte la ropa con todos los otros packs de Creatable World, lo que aumenta muchísimo la variedad de looks si tenemos por lo menos dos.
