My miniature poodle has always had awful breath until our Vet suggested this food. Huge difference & will continue to use it.

⁦Recommended by the vet for my dog's teeth. Great for trying to remove tartar build up on my elderly chiweenie. While it doesn't take the place of regular dental cleanings at the vet, this is a great food to use in between the cleanings. I have it mixed in with my dog's regular food because I do not feel it is necessary to feed this exclusively. My dog loves the flavor, and tends to pick out these kibble pieces to eat before moving on to her regular food. While this food is quite expensive, anyone who is familiar with the Royal Canin line knows that they make quality products. I have been using various specific foods for multiple pets since I first started owning animals, and never once have I felt disappointed with the brand. This is now on the list for my "must have pet products".

I honestly think this food is extremely expensive. That said my dogs sniffed out the delivery and went crazy until I gave them some. They are trained to boop stuff with their nose to let me know they want it. They are kinda driving me crazy wanting this way more than they normally ask for things. I don't know that it helps with teeth and won't be able to attest to that for quite some time of use, but as far as flavor, it must be great because my picky babies are tearing it up.My Review Criteria: I do not review anything that I don't want/need for my own personal use and I have enough knowledge about it to provide accurate and useful details. False advertising. Ad says 30 lbs. The product is only 28 lbs. You pay for 30 and receive 28 lbs.

If you’re looking for a high quality food, royal Canaan, is your best bet!We love this dental food, because the pieces are large enough that they really do help clean the teeth. It always comes in a re-sellable bag to keep it fresh. The size of the pieces are dependent on the size of your dog. I always got large or medium and my small dogs love it but it’s also still beneficial to my large dogs. So it is very versatile what size you can use for each dog but I always say to base it off of the largest dog you have.For the product the value is awesome and the bag came very quickly.I didn’t know they sell it on Amazon, so I’m very excited. I can get a 30 pound bag delivered to my front door!I highly recommend this dental food as this is what our vet has had us give to our dogs for a couple of years now, and it has completely changed the outcome of how often we have to get dentals done!

I was introduced to this brand after my dog had bladder surgery and needed a mild food that wouldn't upset her stomach - it worked so well for her! Fast forward a few years and we recently took my 9 year old dog in to have her teeth cleaned (it's expensive!!) and the vet recommended that we try this food to help with her tarter and plaque build-up.We've tried a lot of things and it's so hard to be consistent with using dog toothpaste and she hates it so we decided to give this food a try! I like that the texture of the food encourages chewing and simulates tooth-brushing to limits plaque from calcifying - supposedly it's proven to provide 55% less tartar formation in 28 days, so I'm excited to see how it goes for her after a few weeks.So far so good - it doesn't seem to upset her stomach and she likes it!P.S. - I love that Royal Canin offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee!

It's a bit pricey for a product that doesn't have meat as the first ingredient. I expected it to be a little more wholesome and have a higher amount of protein, but it looks like it's a combination of flour, rice, by-product meal, and other ingredients (including a few vitamins). That being said, the bag does contain a lot of kibble.The kibble size is very desirable; it's not too big for dogs to easily consume, and it's not tiny either. The texture has a good crunch, and apparently the design is supposed to help reduce plaque and tartar if used consistently. Hopefully we'll see some positive results! So far the food has been easy to digest. There hasn't been any upset tummies since we started using this formula, so that's always a relief when trying a new product.The bag is resealable and has a double lock seal, and I haven't had any problems with it not staying closed after sealing. I'm not sure how it will hold up as I get toward the bottom of the bag, but so far it seems to be doing a good job. I know sometimes the seal can wear down after a lot of opening and closing (based on past experience), but hopefully that won't be an issue.
