My dog has sensitivity issues with some protein options like chicken and grains such as corn, wheat, and soy. Consuming ingredients that he can't tolerate causes hotspots, itching, and frequent ear infections. Grandma Lucy's makes several options that my dog thrives on like pork, lamb, and venison. The other ingredients are wholesome and don't contain anything that causes a reaction. My dog is almost fifteen and has exclusively eaten varieties of Grandma Lucy's Artisan as his base diet for at least twelve of his fifteen years!

This is a great food, particularly as a supplement or mix-in to their regular meals; it is notably quite helpful for older dogs who have dental issues, but all of my pups really like it.

I have tried every kind of dog food from PurinaOne soft dog food, two different types of kibble even prescription foods and a variety of all natural food and everything in between a mixture of what not all natural grain free blah blah blah…This is the FIRST dog food I have ever gotten her that she will not stop eating! If she could have the entire bag, I think she would die eating it. It what a way to go! Lol😅She loves this food! She is satisfied. She is energetics and does not get sick and doesn’t even try to bury it. I practically do not have to wash the bowl lol. Thank you Grandma Lucy! I’ve had her since 2018. I wish we would’ve found this years ago! I feel like I’ve wasted so much money every month since we got her, until now. This will be the only dog food we will ever buy again ! 🐕😀👍🏻💕

Dried food is loved by our herding dog. She is very picky. We mix equally with kibble and chunky freeze dried chicken or pork. Dogs love it.

With a dog that has food allergies, a seizure dog that triggers on rosemary extract, and one that gets fat no matter what's she's fed, we need to be careful who gets what. With all those special needs, our budget for quality dog food has spiked! We needed an alternative to the wet food. Come to find out a label change meant a formula change. It made my allergy dog chew her legs to bloody nubs, develop a cough and get lethargic! Switched them to a canned food with more meat and less carbs and all her symptoms stopped! Needing answers, I went to DogfoodAdvisor(dot)com to discover an FDA warning in 2018 about peas and legumes causing mysterious symptoms of "canine dilated cardiomyopathy" (DCM). "Grain free" is a tricky now since makers add pea flour, pea protein, chickpeas and lentils (all legumes) to lower the cost and still get to call it "grain free"! Then our dogs eat a plant based feed! My furkids get a quality kibble they only peck at while waiting for the evening wet topper. It gets expensive with 3 dogs, so in my search for high quality, meat based food that will work for all the furkids, I found Grandma Lucy's. It fits the bill! There's nothing weird in it, except some potato but so far that hasn't been an issue for anybody. They all like it, (one dog even hoards it for later) everybody has normal (small & less stinky) poops, no chewing, no seizures and we'll see if the fatty dog stays trim. Its smells like real home cooking and the spouse is able to handle rehydrating it on the nights I'm not home. To top it off, it works out less per serving than the cans, which were ~$2.29 each. Grandma Lucy's works out to ~$1.80 per serving. A 3lb bag works out to 15lbs of wet food. 1 cup of dry (3oz) re-hydrates to about 1 can of wet food. That's a sweet savings of about 27%. It's a Win-Win! I'm hoping they all like the chicken and venison just as well as the pork! I'll update this review should anything crop up.

We wanted to give our dogs raw food but it was inconvenient to travel with and took up too much space in our refrigeration. This food is amazing. Just add hot water and a couple raw food kibbles on top, and you’ve got a perfect meal. Lightweight and easy to store. Love that is comes in grain free varieties if you prefer. We’re going to stick with this food. Ingredients are just what we want to feed our “girls”. Glad we found it !

All natural ingredients very healthy for your dog. Just add warm water. Wait a couple minutes and feed them. Your dogs will love it.

I had high hopes for this product but my dog won't eat it. Smells a bit sour too unsure if that's normal. I tried to return it but was unable to. Be careful!
