Great for one season
I bought this for the kids early in the spring and they have used the heck out it! It is now the end of July and it has a rip down the length of it and a few holes but it doesn't matter. They will continue to use it until the end of summer when I'll throw it away. Just realize you are going to get one season out of it, then buy another next spring. Great toy!

We Like Our Slip-n-Slide
We looked to Amazon to replace our 5 year old Slip-n-Slide. I almost didn't buy it because all of the negative reviews. All I wanted was to replace the old one which finally gave up the ghost and blew out the end seam after one of the kids jumped up in the air and landed on the water filled end cushion like a cannonball. The magical duct tape worked for a bit as an emergency MacGyver fix. The other thing was the 2 slide boogies (their words, not mine) leaked persistently which duct tape couldnt even begin to slow because of the shape of the seams. We bought the first one at the local SuperChain store. Time for a new one... So I started the Amazon search and found lots of negative comments. The picture shown on the site looked different so I thought they must have redesigned it and cheaped out on materials based on the problems others experienced. Trusting Amazon and their return policies (heck they deliver our groceries for goodness sake) I decided to splurge the $18 or so dollars and see how it all turned out. We use Amazone Prime so we received it within 2 days and the kids anxiously awaited the brand spankin' new slide and boogies. Out of the box the vinyl feels slightly less robust than our old one and a bit thinner. I put it out in the yard, connected the hose, and turned on the water. So far, so good. The side sprays did not seem to spray up as high as the previous one - only about 2 feet as compared to 3 feet on the old one - presumably because their are more holes. My first thought was "Oh no, the other reviews are right, it needs more water pressure, we are dead in the uhhhh H2O." The thought of disappointing the kids by emptying it out, letting it dry, trying to fit it back into the box (yeah good luck with that), and returning it, went through my mind. I came to my senses and said to myself, "Myself, don't be a silly man. It was $18 bucks. For that significant layout of cash you must give it some time." Sorry to keep you on the edge of your seats but more details should be provided. We live in the Yuppy suburban outskirts of Seattle (so the slip-n-slide is only used for about 3 months a year), we have good water pressure (I actually considered for the sake of this review getting a 5 gallon bucket and giving you and exacting measurement of our water flow rate - but I just couldn't muster the energy. Maybe sometime when I am done with my macramey cat pillow. Just joking. It is for the dog), we have three kids 4,5, and 8 so small in size and consequent abuse of the slide. Ok back to how it all turned out... The water flow was good. The jets that shoot off the side required a little adjustment so that the water flowed onto the slide rather than half on the slide and half on the lawn. Easy cheesy - just lift up the water filled side tube while the water sprays you in the face and point the jets towards the slide. No batteries required. We use the slide on a flat lawn. Because of the increased flow of water through the side and end spray jets the latest model accumulates water much better than the old one. The entire slide is quickly covered with water so that when the kids slide on it, they move quite a bit of water around making it that much more fun. I surveyed the kids and it was unanimous, they love it. We have used it now for 6 or 8 weeks and it works perfectly. No leaks, good water flow, good slippity funtastic time had by all.

Totally worth it!
My nephews love it. Only issue is the water sprinkle along the black edge, has to be adjusted at times. So that it keeps sprinkling all the water on the slide. And not on the ground off the side. But I would rate it totally worth it, for the price, thickness of material and fun..We lay it on a gently sloped bit of lawn.

Doesn't last
This is our first time buying a slip and slide for kids during the summer months here in Arizona. We've only had it for one week and already there is a tear in the middle not sure how this happened but it's fixable definitely not happy with the value of the this thing. We took it out again after not using it for about 2 wks. Then the little pool area starts deflating and we have a huge puddle of water. Turns out the seal on the bottom tore. No waaay of sealing this tear at ALL! Have to return it. Was alright while it lasted. But I won't buy again.

Middle school field day
I bought several of these to use for a baseball slip and slide. Middle school field day. I was surprised they did not rip with rough Middle schoolers. Based on other people's reviews of this I thought they would not hold up, but they did. Lift up the flaps and steak them down. I used those metal "upside-down U-shaped" tent steaks.

Big letdown!
We were super excited to use this when our grandsons visited earlier this month... Connor/5 & Jeremy/2. They had just come from a visit to their aunt and uncle's where they used a homemade slip & slide from a roll of plastic painter's drop cloth, and we were thinking they would love this given the additional "bells & whistles". But when they tried it after we set it up on a small hill in our backyard, it was a huge letdown! We even squirted a little dish soap onto the wet surface to make it slippery, but they still were unable to slide on it. Using the little inflatable "slide boogies" only made it worse!... just too much friction! The side sprayers worked well to get the whole thing wet. And, the pool at the bottom filled with a little water for some foot-stomping splashing fun. But, we were all hoping for so much more and, overall, it was a huge fail! Not only that, but it did not come with the stated repair patches or anchors. I'm sorry to say that this is going to be returned. And, next time, we'll just buy a DIY roll of painter's plastic:)

Great for kids
Grandkids 6-10years old love it. Put some dish detergent on it for extra slide. Keeps them entertained and away from screens.

Good for a one off party, bad for a summer investment.
Got this slide and set it all up. Easy to set it up and get going on it. However it is a super cheap product. Both inflatable boogie boards had rips in them on day one and required patching. Then on day two the slide ripped a foot long rip in one lane, and the "pool wall" ripped right open as well. This effectively rendered the slide unusable. I tried to patch with duct tape, which worked ok for a bit, but didn't last long. I give it two stars because this is a decent, cheap purchase for a one day party for kids or something. But if you're looking to invest in a summer-long slip and slide, this is just plain not the product for you.
