The Broadway I Love - Placido Domingo

The music is great, but you can't play it straight through without adjusting the volume. You can set the volume to hear about 3/4 of the songs, and the setting will either blast your ears or produce no sound on the others

Domingo is my favorite tenor and I love how he does these Broadway songs; "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," with his voice and accent!! Super

Placido Domingo has a fantastic voice. I don't care for Opera which he sings a lot, but this CD has many wonderful songs which he sings extremely well. I love it.

The CD arrived in perfect condition, and I really enjoy listening to it.

I love this CD. Have had it for many years on cassette decided it was time to upgrade. It is great. Wish he would release another one of Broadway

Hearing Placido Domingo sing some of my favorite songs is a wonderful experience. I listen to this CD over and over

there is no greater voice than his. when he sings 'maria" or "try to Remember" you Want to be with someone!

This is gorgeous! The incredible warmth and richness of Domingo's voice is very suited to these songs. He has always sounded very fine singing non operatic material and knows when to rein in his power and let go as well. There are many wonderful performances on the CD but I would single out 'Tonight' and 'What kind of fool am I?'(this shows off his acting skills) as being extra special. Also, 'All I ask of you' from 'Phantom' has to be a definitve version, it gave me goosebumps ! Pity he never got to sing this on stage. I can't stop listening to it, since I bought it recently, certainly a very real pleasure to listen to! Highly recommended.

It is an on going trend for opera stars to crossover into albums presenting popular standards. The beautiful stirring voice of Placido Domingo adds to this collection of broadway numbers. Well worth playing at home or in my radio programme.

I love all the songs from this CD and the range of songs from these shows is superb, and also to hear Placido and Carly Simon singing The Last Night of the World,from "Miss Saigon" is beautiful. if you like his voice then buy it.
