I started taking phytoceramides last year after reading articles and doing further research on it. I have been told by many people that I look much younger than my age and I am somewhat obsessed with skin care. The idea behind taking these is that as we age, the ceramides in our skin decrease, and orally taking phytoceramides is an effective way in helping to replace them. All I can say, is that I have had some health issues this past year and I do feel that these, along with other supplements/antioxidants I take,provide a subtle improvement in my skin, and are helping me to keep my skin in good condition. I would say that the research I saw has indicated that 350 mg a day is the recommended dose, so I take one pill a day. Although, if I was recovering from illness or stress, I might consider taking two a day for a few days. The pills arrived in good condition and a timely manner and I felt that is was a good value.

I think it is a good product. No side effects. Phytoceramides has helped reduce the fine lines which are less prominent. The big lines in the forehead are unchanged.
