Enlightening!
Adding some much needed clarity to the saga of power in the recorded ancient world. A shot over the bow of religious dogma!

Ahmed Osman has done his homework.
The author gives quite a thorough explanation using actual historical & archeological evidence. I'm convinced, as his theory makes sense to me.

A Most Welcome Questioning of Conventional Christianity
This book was my first introduction to the work of Ahmed Osman, and I have subsequently read 2 of his earlier works: "Christianity An Ancient Egyptian Religion," and "Jesus in the House of the Pharaohs." I am deeply indebted to this author for his lifetime of study and scholarship to have uncovered the "cover-up" of our religious origins. As he astutely points out in his books, both sides--Egyptian and Hebrew/Jewish--had reasons to bury the truth of their past interactions. By being open to examining all available sources of information, Osman has been able to connect the dots and put the pieces of the historical puzzle back together. The author was born into the Islamic culture of Cairo, Egypt in 1934, and as an adult moved to London, England in 1965 where he still lives to pursue a lifetime of research into linking the characters of the Bible to actual historical characters of ancient Egypt--particularly to the 14th century B.C. The reason why this is so vitally necessary is that there is not one shred of historical, physical, or archaeological evidence to support the fact that many of the chief Bible characters even existed--principally King David, King Solomon, Moses, Jacob, Joseph, and very troubling to Christians today--no evidence for Jesus. This is all because we've been searching all these many centuries for the answers in the wrong place and the wrong time (geographically and chronologically). Ahmed Osman is adept and comfortable in handling all the available sources of information--Christian, Hebrew/Jewish Talmudic, and Islamic (the Koran). But in addition to all of this he has availed himself of the invaluable source material of the Gnostic and Essene "libraries" from the 1945 and 1947 discoveries at Nag Hammadi in upper Egypt and at Qumran near the Dead Sea. As the author explains, when he was able to connect the Bible character of Joseph (he of the many-colored coat) the other pieces of the puzzle came together. The matter of connecting Joseph was no trivial thing for Ahmed Osman. He had spent 25 years of study and research on this matter before it clicked in his mind that Joseph and Yuya, ancient minister to Pharaoh Amenhotep III, were one and the same person. Voila! See for yourself the mummified remains of this Semitic-looking person that is contained in Osman's books (there is abundant pictorial evidence in all his books for a multitude of figures--historical & spiritual). As for myself, I was raised in a conservative Baptist home--very fundamental and evangelical in nature, so the revelations in Osman's books are startling, but for me very liberating. Several years ago I began a quest to want to know more about my religion's origins, and so was willing to let my faith see the full light of day, and be subjected to full-on scrutiny. For, if what we believe to be the "Truth" is really so, then it should stand-up to scrutiny. I have become a free-thinking skeptic of sorts, and was even quite skeptical when I inadvertently stumbled upon the works of Ahmed Osman; However, I've come to deeply respect Osman's scholarship, research, and dedication to the cause of truth seeking. For Christians especially, the revelation who the real historical Jesus is will be perhaps mind-blowing. Just put it this way: I wish as a young man, when I was in London queuing at the British Museum to view the Treasures of King Tut, I had the knowledge then that I do now after having read the books of Ahmed Osman. Please give this author a chance--you will be highly rewarded, and perhaps surprised like I was for his rock solid insights and discoveries. My understanding of both the Old and New Testaments has been certainly enhanced. If you have time for just one of Ahmed Osman's books I would heartily recommend the 2005 revised edition of his 1998 work of "Christianity An Ancient Egyptian Religion."

Fascinating Perspective. Worth a read, even for a skeptic.
This book was very difficult for me to put down. I am not a biblical scholar, or a self-proclaimed egyptologist, but I thoroughly enjoy the subject matter, and this was far from an exception. I can't say how this book would hold up when scrutinized next to the bare facts, but the tale, as presented by Osman, is a compelling one. I'd love to hear more discussion of this concept in the public sphere, because even if the details are off on a granular level, or maybe some of the big pieces don't quite fit, I feel that he's onto something here.Sadly, the study of egyptology is mired in politics and academic dogma, and many bible experts would also base their opinion on what is in my opinion a false notion that the bible is an accurate source for history (and in some cases divinely inspired, and therefore infallible). Meaningful discussions about topics in this book would almost certainly be suppressed by either group of gatekeepers, regardless of the provenance of the information or ideas presented, by virtue of the fact that they disagree with a paradigm that has been "unquestionable" for many lifetimes.Either way it was right up my alley, and I'll read more of Osman's books.

Conspiracy theorist
The author thinks that behind Judaism and Christianity there is a conspiracy to cover up that they are both Egyptian religions. He's written books about the Egyptian origins of Moses, King David and Jesus. Strangely enough, the only monotheistic religion that doesn't come from Ancient Egypt is Islam, he hasn't written any books about that! His arguments are so fanciful, that he might as well have told us that King David was dropped in by UFOs. The book is cheap, so if you want to have a good laugh, check it out.

Anti-Semitism is evil
The title of the book was enough to know this book is filled with bad history. Nowhere in the Hebrew Scriptures is King David described as a descendant of Egyptian origin. As it is written in the Holy Scriptures, It is clear that King David is from the Tribe of Judah. No connection with Egypt.I'm glad I read some honest reviews before I wasted my money on a fictional book.Anti-Semitism is evil.

A.Osman gold medal swimmer.
Ahmed Osman is like an Egyptian Erich von Daniken, by saying that I mean , that he is a writer who is not afraid to ask questions . Sensitive question about well established truths. He runs also to a risk of offending religious feelings of many people. It is difficult to swim against the river but he does it with great skills. In his books he makes very interesting connections between biblical characters and historical figures . He may be right or not , but by making that connection he challenges other writers and researchers to proof him right or wrong . To read his books you need to be open minded and if you live by the book of the Lord , ask yourself what is important about its teaching. It is the message or story of it characters. The most important massage of Tora/Old Testament /Quran is a law that teaches us to respect Good and each other . Gospel goes step farther and teaches us to love and forgive each other. That’s is the essence of all holy texts and is not that important who came up with it , a Jew or an Egyptian because those are universal teachings and earth would be a better place if we fallow the message and not person.
