Damp Rid is such a great product to have in our travel trailer! I wish I knew about this years ago! I would definitely recommend it for basements, RV's, etc. I personally like to buy the scent free. This product works well. Good weight. Lasts long. Just an all around excellent buy!

I use these one at a time under the kitchen sink to help keep the area dry that in turn keeps my dishwashing pods from sticking to each other and I can store my SOS pads before they are dry after use - have not needed them in my closets since they are all large with an AC duct in each and where the garage could use some help it is too open so under the sink they go... and just the savings from not having to toss pods is worth the purchase.

I moved to an area that is very high moisture. My closet and bathroom get the worst of it. I have to keep a close eye on my clothes as they get full of mold because of it. This is the reason I purchased Damp Rid. They definitely help. As you can see in the photo it draws the moisture in the air. It can fill up in 3-4 weeks. I realize I will need to use more at a time as I still find mold.I'm not sure if this can stop the issue but I think it does help. It would probably be a lot worse if I didn't use it.

Not a panacea for my musty car's interior but they do seem to last a while.

These are missing the white safety cover!DampRid represents the product as containing a white safety cover to prevent spillage, but that's apparently there's little quality control.If the container is disrupted, the charcoal and desiccant, and any accumulated liquid, will readily spill out.The customer could retrofit the top with a screen or vapor permeable fabric (e.g., panty hose) which may help contain the solid components but does little to prevent accumulated liquid from spilling if the container is disrupted during use or when moved during disposal. In the end, designing and producing the product to perform as intended should be the responsibility of DampRid, not of the customer to provide a partial work around.

At the end of a couple months all the beads of the top are gone and the water is full in the bottom so what can you not like about it? It works. I put it in my Corvette that I don’t drive a lot, so the moisture doesn’t build up mildew in the car. I use the no scent.

I read reviews most of the time. Reviews make it very clear in this case that there is no white material cover on the top of the container. In my case the tub goes under the sink at the back of the cabinet and I have no kids or pets. Even if I did the placement would make the issue moot. Since I know that this is how the container is packaged I also know enough to handle it accordingly. I have a sink where there was a leak under there from a faucet. The leak had been there for a while so even after I dried it thoroughly there was still a residual odor. These tubs have been great. There is no more odor at all and I’ve had them under there for about a year, switching them out every 30-45 days. I will continue to use this product.
