Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS, 44mm) - Silver Aluminum Case with White Sport Band

I’ve been wearing an Apple Watch series 1 for a few years now and spent a long time debating the purpose of an upgrade. I must say that I am not disappointed.Some cool features Apple Watch 1 didn’t have:1) waterproof for swimming with a water eject button2) tracks flights of stairs climbed3) EKG monitoring4) Menustral cycle tracking (I know men, not for you unless you want to know when your lady will be off limits for a few days and when to bring home chocolates5) Additional work out activities, such as lap swimming for the exercise ringAll and all, I think the Apple Watch 1 was great but Apple Watch 5 is most def a better quality watch with more features. 44mm screen is nice too. Nice big screen compared to my 38mm.Good splurge purchase!!

Being a first-time apple watch buyer I did not expect to be impressed nor thought I needed one. I decided to buy one in order to have the features to track my fitness progress more accurately but it has become much more. I use it for anything from fitness to keeping up with my calendar. The ability to have the date, weather report and my most needed apps on the face has increased productivity level. Now I don't need to grab my phone to look at my calendar or to see what's the weather like for the day. Of course, the fitness portion is awesome at keeping track of how many calories I have burned in the day, especially during a workout. I also thoroughly love the ease of checking my calendar. It keeps me from being tempted from opening unnecessary apps and begin scrolling through. If it wasn't for it being GPS only I wouldn't even need my phone around. I am thinking about investing in a cellular one in the future because I can see the potential now. I wouldn't be able to go back now that I have dived into the world of the apple watch. Apple has done it again to me. Just take my money.

When I saw that my Series 2 Apple Watch wasn't going to be supported with updates anymore - I bit the bullet and upgraded to the 44mm Series 5. Feel a little guilty about not waiting for the Series 6 but justify it by saving $ vs. whatever the cost of the new one will be. Plus I got 3 solid years out of the Series 2 so expect the same with this one.Functionally, it feels very familiar - I was right at home using the watch as it more or less works the same as the Series 2.Where I'm really floored and glad I upgraded is the form factor. The screen is noticeably larger, while the body of the watch is noticeably sleeker. It looks and feels better on my wrist than my old Series 2. Photos shows the difference. The screen is very sharp and easier to read. I also like the always on display! Only hesitation is battery life. If it's an issue, or if I learn I can dramatically extend battery by turning it off, I will turn it off. The old "wrist turning" method of seeing the screen never really bothered me before so we'll see.The best smartwatch and a worthy upgrade to the Series 2. Can't wait to go for my first run with it tomorrow.

I think the Iwatch 5 is a great watch for health tracking. I am 82 and use the heart rate ecg daily.The one thing I don’t like is that when the Iwatch and IPhone are paired you can’t get notifications on your IPhone unless you disable arm movement. If you do this the health apps (ecg, heart rate and fall down) are disabled.Apple please fix this in next iOS release.

This is my fourth Apple Watch and the First that I actually like and wear on a regular basis. The very first one was new and cool and also slow and terrible battery life. Took it off one day, forgot about it the and realized I hadn’t used it in six months. Later on, got the Series 2 and tried again but the tap-to-wake or “wrist-flick” to see the time was so aggravating yet again. Switched to the Samsung Galaxy for the more conventional look and always-on display. Ran into a good deal and got the 4 for the GPS and improved speed and it was ok. But the always-on display of the 5 was an instant buy and it is exactly what I needed. So crazy that a single feature can completely change your use of a product. Now I find myself wearing it everyday and also trying to track sleep. I use the always-on display everyday and easily can go all day with enough to left to do a quick charge before bed and wear all night for sleep tracking. While sleeping though I put it on theatre-mode to turn off the screen and also save power.

I absolutely love this new Apple Watch Series 5. My old one was so old that it basically functioned as a Potato with a screen. Once the screen fell off my old one, it was time to upgrade, and what an upgrade. The screen is so responsive and vivid. Audio quality on calls is fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the band it comes with as it feels like it will fly off in the wind, but that is just me and you are able to get different kinds of bands after market. Oh, and the Walki Talki feature is super cool.Lastly, the battery life is great lasting two days for they way I use it. Overall, great product. You truly get what you pay for.

I read reviews that said the battery life was horrible. I figured that the newest Apple Watch couldn’t possibly have bad battery life, hoping Apple would have made the battery in their products better. I was wrong. I fully charged it before wearing and within two hours I was alerted to the low battery. I wasn’t ecstatic about the “always on display” to begin with so I knew I was going to turn it off even before purchasing. The battery was still bad after doing so. They I read black displays use less battery than colorful displays, changed it and still the battery wasn’t ideal. I was about to look into returning and purchasing the 3 (which I had upgraded from but would happily go back to for the battery). One last shot I had was to turn off the option where the screen wakes when it’s raised. I don’t mind tapping the screen to wake so that was my last resort. It worked and now I can get 2-3 days out of it before needing to charge depending on activity level.
