Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories

I liked everything about this book. The message for all -- the illustrations and the fun rhyming so unique to Dr. Seuss.

We give these to our kindergarten graduates every one and they love it!

It's Dr. Suess. That should be enough. Dr. Suess wrote it but I'm not sure. I thought the original Dr. Suess died, so I'm a bit confused... Regardless, it is a great story! I love to read it to my grandkids. They never seem to tire of it.

The book is bigger than expected but no complaints. It arrived in good condition.

Bought this for my grand-nephew. Yertle was one of my favorite Dr. Seuss characters and stories. I remember enjoying this well into middle school, where i spent much of my spare time in the library fiction section.Helping a child discover the joy of reading is so important. It can take them anywhere, in this world or many others in fantasy and science fiction (creative writing makes your brain work, ex. Dune trilogy, dragons of Pern, Harry Potter). Sadly, required reading in schools often drives kids away from resources they might enjoy and leaves many thinking they don't like to read.

A favourite from my childhood - one of the lesser-known Dr Seuss books.

My 10-year-old daughter was captivated and extremely amused by the stories of Yertle the Turtle, Gertrude McFuzz, and Big Brag the Rabbit. These stories are a great distraction from tablets and TV. The stories are amusingly illustrated. Highly recommended!

Fun and lovely book! It is great for guided reading, circle time discussions, and teaching vocabulary! My students love it.
