Got this for my three year old grandson (and me really) it is good for younger kids as you can regulate the speed of their car so they can just smash the button and not fly off the track. You can race on your own in pace car mode.

Love this digital version of the old classic racing set!Wireless hand controllers vibrate when using the app on your mobile or tablet! Lots of realistic sounds and lap counting makes for a very realistic race experience!NB.. Scalextrics!.......App could do with regular updating mind!!!

as the subject says, i am not sure why it mentions the pit lane and it's not there. also the most recent app does not include this specific set in the sets list, so i can't choose it in the app. the new app won't work with this set either, i need to use the less recent one. a bit confused. maybe can anyone clarify? thanks

I bought this track for my son's birthday and after falling off the track a few times and placing back on the bottom plastic piece ended up the wrong way round and snapped the wire off inside. The track is great, the cars are poor quality.

The scaly digital 24hr lemans set is the best one that scaly currently sells.The main reason is that the upgraded arc pro power base is only available in it.All other current scaly digital sets and the power base only conversion pack contain the original version and that was released before it was ready (have a couple here and best use was doing a simple mod to become a great digital only power base, or to just use as a door stopper).This new version fixes the main digital and analog power base issues but the set cars come with the latest dpr chip installed which does not run well under arc pro analog so best run this pair only as digital on the arc pro (further testing has shown the H chip performs excellent on analog only tracks so the H problem appears to be an only an arc pro analog issue).However my older, used cars with soldered in chips or earlier versions of the dpr chips, handle very nicely running as analog ( with many more available at auction sites) on arc pro analog.Thus rate this improved arc pro power base at 3 for 3 , the older arc pro with the digital mod at 1 of 3, and the stock original now at 0 for 3.The set included 2 wireless hand controls (AA batteries required but are not included) , 1 power pack and 1 straight dual changer.( With only 1 power pack, you can upgrade the digital side to 3 cars, which would require buying 1 car and 1 dpr or a to be soldered in chip and 1 arc pro controller and then one additional lane changer for more fun.An additional power pack is required for racing 4 to 6 cars and also to use more changers.As a measure of toughness, the set cars have crashed here with a window and wing popping off but only needed the parts snapped back in and not glueing.This is a great set for a beginner or someone wishing to upgrade because the value of the parts included is more than the cost of the set itself.Looked at it at xmas and jan but had other bills to pay.Feb price jumped $30 so when things looked better , bought it.By march price up again $10 to full retail .There are only a few currently left on the net and almost all at retail.Bought mine from amazon because of the warranty.An upscale high dollar set is planned for this coming xmas, but with political issues on both sides of the pond, the virus situation and trade/tariff issues with the Chinese and potentially others, strongly recommend buying this set new, now.(Any used version of this set could have had the upgraded power base removed and replaced with the original version, so beware of any great deals offered.)Amazon has 3 free apps for the arc pro, 2 scaly versions and a private made magic app.Personally use a scaly app just to count laps and check time on my fire 7 , but they will do so much more.

There isn’t much to criticize about this set. There are only a few good options if you are interested in getting into slot car racing at home. If you just need something to keep the young ones busy go with one of the Carrera Go 1:43 sets, especially if you don’t plan on spending any more money on the hobby. Unfortunately the entry level 1:32 sets by Scalextric, specifically the controllers, are junk and why, if on a budget, I recommend the Carrera Go despite their many limitations.However, if you want something older children and adults will enjoy 1/32 slot cars are the way to go. Basically your good options are any of the Carrera 1:32 sets, analog around $170, digital around $400, or Scalextric Arc Air or Arc Pro. I actually wanted one of the Carrera Evolution sets but they were all sold out along with all of the Digital sets. This was the only set available and I have to say I am not disappointed.One piece of advice that I was given was to buy the set with the cars you like the most. No set really offered that for me but Scalextric has a great offering of American Muscle and American Trans-Am models that are very appealing. I am not a fan of most of the cars offered by Carrera and I have found myself addicted to buying cars just because they look so awesome.

$256 for a $399 set , will run digital and analog cars just by switching a button, great value
