Owen will be your next book boyfriend...Guaranteed!
Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I met Kendall Ryan at Book Bonanza this year. To say I was effusive over meeting her is an understatement. Specifically, I jabbered away about this book, All the Way, with her. I had just finished the ARC of Playing for Keeps and had read the first chapter of this newest book in the Hot Jocks series of standalones. I was colored intrigued by Owen, to say the least.See, in Playing for Keeps, I wasn’t a fan of Owen’s. He represented the prototypical jock: womanizer, too protective of his sister, hyper-focused on his sport, etc. I especially struggled with him because it was clear, in that book, that Becca had “a thing” for Owen, and he seemed blissfully unaware, hopping from woman to woman. Not to mention, I hated that he was too protective of his sister, Elise. I thought he shouldn’t have any say in dating or not dating his best friend, Justin. But then, Ryan presented the first chapter of All the Way, and I laughed. Like full-on belly laughed at the absurdity of his experience with a drunken Becca. I mean, c’mon…who allows a woman who you’ve seen as only your best friend to touch your “man meat.” And he does it in a way that almost makes him a victim. It’s hilarious, and I told Kendall Ryan at Book Bonanza. She promised me that I was going to love this new romance. That it is one of her favorites, and I’m pretty sure I laughed it off. C’mon….this is Owen. But…she did it. She made me fall in love with him, more than I loved Justin in his book. Even more, she made this book about something bigger than hot hockey players and romance. This is the reason why you need to read All the Way, why it is an important book in the world of romance:*Ultimately, Kendall Ryan’s new romance is a book about consent. Period. The reason I fell hard for Owen is his maturity in this book. Becca is a victim of sexual abuse. (Yes…trigger warning). It has been years since she has been intimate with a man, and she’s tired of her fear. She enlists Owen’s help in awakening her $exuality again after her trauma. At first, Owen is reticent, but he is suddenly aware of Becca in ways he had never been before. He decides that he wants to guide her through this journey except that they need to try to maintain their friendship. Owen doesn’t engage in relationships. Through all of this, Owen and Becca negotiate. He is careful with his actions, asking for permission at every turn. He checks in with Becca emotionally as they progress through the development of intimacy. It is intentional throughout the entire story, so much so that Owen shows a level of maturity that he failed to show in Playing for Keeps. And I fell for him: for his ability to protect Becca, for his need for her, and for his compassion. The Owen of this book is NOT the Owen of the first one. Remember that.*It is clear Owen’s growth comes about because Becca is the type of woman who allows him to grow. She provides him with opportunities to be a better person. She challenges him, and she allows herself eventually to fall for him. Instinctually, the friendship between Owen and Becca grants them permission to fall in love. Honestly, this book doesn’t dwell too long on their confusion over their feelings for each other like some books do. Ryan crafts it as such that it’s momentary. Instead, this book tells a story of personal growth, while love blooms. To me, Kendall Ryan is one of the hardest working writers. It seems as though she releases books once a month. What I find impressive about her, especially after reading All the Way, is the way her books are maturing. Just in the first two books of the Hot Jocks series, her storytelling evolved and offered us a lesson: the reminder that people can be more if it’s expected of them. Owen is more than I ever thought he could be after Playing for Keeps, and reveling in their romance was one of the best parts of my weekend. Read All the Way; share it with your spouse or significant other. This should be required reading.

Owen and Becca
Owen is the starting goalie for the Hawk's. He is one of the best in his sport. Loves his job and all the perks that come with it. You guessed it, another man whore who loves women for one night only. He is best friends with Becca and enjoys spending time with her but never took it further than friendship because she is best friends with his little sister. If you read Playing for Keeps (Hot Jocks 1) you learn that Becca was sexually assaulted her freshman year of college. Since then she has been nervous around men. She can go on dates but when it starts to escalate into the physical she freezes up. She wants to move past this so she asks her best friend, Owen, to help her loosen up and not be scared of sex.I am usually not a big fan of the FOB books because there is always so much miscommunication and lack of communication. But this book was so damn sweet. I really loved and appreciated how sweet and caring and slow Owen was with Becca. He really took the time to let her feel comfortable. However, I take a bit of issue with him saying he wanted to dominate her. I don't feel like that was him at all. I think he likes it rough and kinky which I can see being a trigger for her but I didn't see anything that would make him a dominate. Maybe that all happens later once she is more comfortable but I didn't see anything about floggers, whips and tying up (oversimplifying but you catch my drift) so I don't think that was accurate but didn't take anything away from the story for me. Becca is a amazing. I really enjoyed how she was ready to take her body back and not be scared anymore. This book had it all for me. Their banter was funny as all get out, sexy, and characters that relatable. Highly recommend this book and can't wait to dive into the next one.

Becca and Owen
Becca works in the office for the hockey team that Owen plays on, and Owen is the brother to her best friend, Elise. Becca always felt quite broken from a bad abuse attack back in college. She asked Owen to help her overcome some issues when she was in a drunken state one night. Owen was blown away by her request and thus a journey began, enjoy.

3-Stars!
I was eagerly excited to get my hands on Owen & Becca’s story. However, I’m not sure where I stand with it.I didn’t hate it. But I also didn’t overly love it.I liked it.It was a quick read. I’ve been a huge Kendall fan for years. I’ve read nearly a dozen of her books now. I kind of know the gist of her stories but they all tend to change and throw you in different directions. I liked Owen for the fact that he was sweet and caring and not pushy. However I wasn’t feeling him being a small carbon copy of Christian Grey as his back story for dominance was nearly the same, but only in the bedroom. It was very PG dominance anyway. Nothing controversial like Fifty Shades. Becca was easy going and so were the additional characters whom will meet later in this series. Overall it was just a simple story. Sadly, I’ll be honest and say that I did skim through some paragraphs. I guess I was expecting something totally different with this book. I don’t know. Maybe I set the bar a little to high before reading it. I won’t give it less than 3 stars because it was enjoyable. I didn’t want to DNF or throw it against the wall. But I didn’t want to hug it and love on it like most books I truly love & constantly talk about. But if you’re in the mood for something naturally sweet & simple, than All the Way is perfect for you.

What to say about Owen and Becca? They are very sweet, but smoking hot at the same time. They are passional and protective over each other, but they are respectful and understanding.Again, I think the master formula for these books to be so easy reading and so reliable is to have their relationship built over strong respect and friendship.Initially, I thought they would never overpass Justin and Elise, but wow, they truly did.Owen could had a track of being a one night type of guy, but his love and respect for Becca was always a must for him. Nothing and nobody could even being close to the way he valued her and it is crystal clear from the very first page of the book. And Becca is a strong, yet sweet, survivor, that despite needing to grow strong and resistant from her past, she never lost the brightness and the sweetness of her personality.I truly like the way the author can bring the story so simple without any of the romantic books traditional “clichês”.I would recommend it, actually the whole series, to anyone.

The book you need in your life!!!
I usually wait at least a day before writing a review for a book but in this case, I can't.. I just can't. I've literally just finished this book seconds ago and I have to get all this down since this book was AMAZING!!! This is hands down my favorite Kendall Ryan book which is saying a lot because I'm such a big fan of her writing! Owen was beyond sweet and adorable and the way he treated Becca was phenomenal! It was amazing to see these two friends break though the barriers they created to keep their friendship intact and become a couple. The transformation in Owen from Playboy to perfect boyfriend was astounding and he had me swooning throughout the entire book but specifically in the epilogue! Hockey romances have always been one of my favourite genres and I'm so happy that Kendall has broken into the hockey romance world! I really don't know how Kendall will top this one but I have all the confidence in the world that she will and I can't wait to see what is next!
