I was looking for a pencil for my 7 year old son which was dark enough to be able to read.I honestly can’t tell you if these pencils are dark. The tips broke the first and last time he used them.I would not recommend these to anyone else!

Poor quality
Its dark pencil. But Built quality is third class. Please dont buy this pencil. Its noke offen get broke. Very poor quality product.

Very smooth writing!
I love the texture. I have a professional sharpener and that makes a lot of difference in the strength and uniformity of the point. Even so, it's a pleasure to write with, and that helps my penmanship. If only it were a little darker, it would be perfect!
