The Octonauts and The Only Lonely Monster

My grandkids are addicted to the Octonauts!
Wonderfully illustrated way to share an evening with my grandkids. The story leads us on an exciting adventure with adorable characters that are just quirky enough to keep us interested until the end of the book. It was more imaginative than the TV series as there is no "creature report" with facts and pictures of an actual being. It does have the same gentle lesson about life. I highly recommend this book.

Adorable story about friendship
The Octonauts are busy going about their morning routines when BOOM! The octopod is UNDER ATTACK! They quickly form ranks only to find out that it's not an attack, but a lonely creature looking for some thing like itself. So the Octonauts set out to help. It's a lovely story about friendship, with great drawings to examine. My 3 year old son loves that they head to the north (pole), then to the east (open the book sideways and read long ways), to the south (flip the book over), and to the west (read long ways again). We have not watched the show, but my son still really enjoys this book.

Cute and sturdy book
My kids were into Octonauts at one point and got this for them. It's a nice hard cover book with paper pages inside. The pictures are cute and have nice color on them. The kids love to point out the characters they know and it was a nice starter to introducing Octonauts as books.

Must have for any little Octonauts fan
This is a terrific book. The hardcover is thin and it's a great size for my 3 year old's lap. The pictures are very cute and colorful. The story tracks the Octonauts trying to help a giant "monster" find other creatures like him. (Spoiler) In the end, after a big adventure to search everywhere in the ocean to find another like the monster, they were unsuccessful. Not to worry, though, the last page showed each of the Octonauts in their own panel highlighting what made them unique.

Kids and I enjoyed it. They are
For the record, rating as an ebook and not the physical book.Kids and I enjoyed it. They are, however, Octonauts fans.A giant monster shows up. Wait, not a monster, a sad, friendly, lonely creature, searching for others like him. (Perhaps he has amnesia?) This prompts a search through books and ocean alike to find out what sort of creature he is, and in the process learn its okay to be unique.Lovely illustrations, amusing content. Feel good kind of book. And based on the age group, the plot isn't too horribly thin.A bit annoying to read on kindles though. The zoom function is... limited and when you have two pages turned into one on the "search for the monster's home"/ traveling the world pages, the result is a bit frustrating to try to read.Overall enjoyable. But I probably wouldn't buy again, because the page thing irritates me.

Beautiful Illustrations, Cute Story
We have read this book over and over--I adore the illustrations.I asked [begged] Lego to make Octonauts sets; they cannot at the moment :(If you don't already do this with your children you may want to: Take one or two books when you are dining out [not at a fast food place where a play area is at the ready for them]...so you have some reading time with your kiddos while you wait for your yummy meals...

A must for Octonauts fans!
These Octonauts books are wonderful. My sons and I read them over and over. Good quality, bright colors, and full of adventure. Some of the words are a bit advanced so they won't be reading it on their own any time soon.

Fun but not their best
A good read and I love the concept. I do wish the female characters spoke more. My little girl loves them!

First ebook for my kid
My kid picked this book and I found it on Amazon. Although kindle version is much cheaper, my kid doesn’t feel the same to ebook compared with those hard copies. They never read ebook alone but would spend time on hard copies. Maybe better in the future when I built a ebook library for them.
