great flex without any loss of power or extra heat up.
I will say I had to send the first one back cause the inner core snapped, though that could have been from many different things. however, upon return, I received replacement no issues and just like the first BEFORE it snapped it works like a dream. WARNING !!! the standard chuck that fits a Dremel will not fit this one it seems the threads are a smaller size, HOWEVER, it comes with a chuck already on it and fits both 3/8 down to 1/8 perfectly and snuggly.

Made me love my Dremel again
I used to be a HUGE fan of Dremel rotary tools. I have been using them for years. But... I kind of stopped using it as much over the last few years. Why? The Dremel motor is rather large and bulky, which is why they sell a flex/extension shaft. The Dremel brand flex shaft is fantastic, but it is time consuming to attach, the possibility of losing small parts is always looming, and the hand piece is a bit wide for detail work in very tight spaces. This flex shaft has renewed my affection for my Dremel tool. Why? Because I just attach it to the Dremel using the chuck as if it was just another bit. Because the head of this is measurably thinner than the Dremel version. Because it is a very nice price. There are drawbacks. Because the shaft is exposed at the motor (about 1/8-1/4" shows) you have to be careful where you put the motor. Because of the small size, it gets a bit hotter, so letting it rest for a few minutes is highly recommended. But, overall, this is a solid addition to my toolbox. In fact, I often find myself using the extension shaft even when I do not need to. It is that convenient.

Reasonable tool for the money
I've read the reviews and questions regarding overheating. This is not a Dremel brand tool, and you bought this at a reduced price, so some adjustments are required. I've used this for several hours and with a variety of bits. Early on, I experienced some overheating, but with a little lubrication--WD-40 or general purpose oil applied at both ends, the heat is not unreasonable and the tool works as you would expect. The advantage this tool has over the Dremel brand flex shaft tool is the slimmer profile of the tool itself. If that, and the cost, is of importance to you, likely you will be satisfied with this tool.

Great for Cleaning Car Engine Fuel Injector Bores
I've used it 4 times now to clean heavy corrosion out of car spark plug and cylinder bores; fits right down into the bottom of both bores and with a wire brush, cleans corrosion off the walls and seats. The trick is to ensure you never kink the cable or create a tight bend or loop; keep the cable straight as possible and it should last a while. I hung my Dremel upside-down above my work area so the cable was largely straight down as I used it.

Surprisingly good, I don't use my dremel without it now!
I can't believe I waited so long before buying one of these, they're excellent. I probably have 15 hours on mine, haven't had any issues with it getting hot like other people have mentioned. I will say, it's generally best practice to avoid sharp bends in the flex shaft as they will increase load on the dremel, but other than that it's great! My dog agrees, he's a lot more tolerant of the dremel when the large noisy motor is away from him. It's also exponentially easier to manuver this little pen than it is to manuver the whole dremel.

Be prepared to purchase more then 1
This product works great, when it works. I have purchased multiple of these because they break fairly easy. The ergonomics are the best so I have purchase multiple till I find something that is more durable but works just as good. Customer Service is nonexistent with the company. I have now had 2 that have broke the same way in a year.

great value for the price
My drill extension came with a minor kink in the outer cable cover. But it works perfectly, and I was impressed with all of the accessories that came with it.

Best for very light duty work.
This gets hot in your hand and needs a way to be able to lubricate it easier nd doesn't come apart to lube. The flexible shaft broke loose somewhere in the housing after a short while and had to be replaced with a better solution.

So far so good, working well when I use it, and i would say way better than my old, ( although not that old really) one, it used to get red hot and not work at all. Hopefully it will keep up the good work.

A picture paints a 1000 words, in this case quite clearly. The whole unit came apart in my hands whilst in use engraving a piece of plywood? Not really a hard material. Lasted about a week. Up until that point I thought it was really good but to suddenly and spectacularly disintegrate in my hand was quite disconcerting. Overall experience? Well I will let the picture do the talking.
