It's super sturdy. It's compact as designed. It's very light weight. The paint could be better quality but i suppose it's not designed for throwing it around the bed of a truck or hauling it everywhere. I would say this stool is comfortable and well worth it's price range.

I've been using stools exactly like this for decades, bought from Walmart and then Amazon. I'm a keyboard player and use these for gigs. Of the half-dozen I've had over the years, only one failed -- underneath a friend while he was playing my keyboards but he was having too much fun to notice. This particular one, which I see I bought in 2015, is every bit as good as all the rest. I see some reviews that say that the quality had suffered, but those reviews predate my purchase so evidently they have their manufacturing issues fixed. I weigh 175-180 lbs. I wouldn't recommend it for frequent use by someone weighing over say 250 lbs, unless they're pretty careful. The pad is not thick; it's not a cushy comfy stool, but it suits my purpose perfectly, light and folding to a convenient size to pack with all my music gear. Except for the one that failed, all have lasted until they got lost or destroyed. For the price and convenience, you can't beat it. Update: I got another in 2019 after my house burned down. It's identical to the others as far as I can tell, so the quality is still good. Also, it's far more comfortable than my first replacement (which I got from who knows where) because of the angle of the edge of the seat. My first replacement has steeper sides, and is very uncomfortable to sit on or lean on. See photos. The one on the left is this product (Trademark Global), on the right is the Cosco, which looks a bit more rugged, but is uncomfortable as the ridge bites into my thigh.

I like this stool. I hope this one doesn’t break like the last one. I got the exact same one on Amazon just under a year ago and it broke about 3 weeks ago. One of the welded legs broke off from the seat. It may have been my fault, I don’t know. I’m only 160 pounds, but I can be clumsy at times. I really don’t know why it broke. I didn’t fall while sitting on it. My wife rarely uses it but she only weighs 110. I use it primarily when I play my saxophone and I go back and forth between sitting on it or standing. Hypothetically it shouldn’t have broken but I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt as it’s otherwise a very versatile stool that was relatively sturdy and served my purposes well, until it broke. I’d think twice about it if I weighted 200 lbs+. I wish I could figure out what happened. It was fine and then Shazam, the seat welding loosened from the leg base. I've seen several stools on Amazon that I like better looks wise, but that were not as utilitarian. This one folds up and can easily be stored in a closet. Nonetheless I would recommend it, but if it breaks on me again I'll be back to change my review and rating.

I just needed a slightly taller stool to sit on while taking care of my invertebrates that could be folded up and put out of the way. This fit the bill. Didn’t need assembly. It’s a lot more comfortable than the short step ladder I’d been using! Quality isn’t bad. Feels pretty sturdy and stable. Pretty easy to fold and unfold. (There’s a pull-ring on the end of a spring loaded pin under the seat that disengages the lock so it can be folded up.) Looks nice enough that it doesn’t detract from the rest of the room when it’s folded up against a wall. Took forever to find it in the sea of irrelevant or unsuitable search results, but so far I’m glad I did! I’m pretty happy with it.

This is a VERY cheaply made stool! I'm about 125 pounds and this says it is rated for 225..no way!! The top bends, and I have a very small behind, the middle cushy part sinks in and out, it is VERY cheap I would not buy it!

Husband purchased to be able to cook in the kitchen after a long day on his feet. Better quality than I expected. I'm about 250 lbs and this supports my weight just fine without any unsteadiness or creaking. I imagine it would work for someone over 300 as well.

Good quality, easily foldable. Sturdy but lightweight. Easy to store. Comfortable for short term sitting. They don’t have a ton of padding so I do not think I would want this to be my every day seating arrangement.

Pay attention to the specs. This holds up to 225lbs, most of the others holds 300 to 500 lbs! It was very thin construction, came in a box made to hold two. It was warped and dented upon delivery. I decided to keep it since I could easily bend it back. I ordered one that was rated for 500lbs, had a thick synthetic seat and was sturdy beyond belief. This one is light and not meant for heavy weight.

Scratched, dented and old looking.. this is a ridiculous product and the usual Amazon trick is that if I return and buy another, it will be double the price!!!

This padded round folding bar stool was perfect for my needs! It is lightweight and easy to carry. It folds up very compactly. The padded seat makes it very comfortable to sit on. I use it when I paint at my art easel, or when I need an extra seat in my studio to accommodate visitors. It is very sturdy and has supported even heavier people up to 260 lbs in weight. I highly recommend it.

I wanted something to use in my bathroom for make-up application. This is the perfect height, colour, and folds easily to tuck away when not in use. It is also a great solution for an additional stool at my kitchen counter when needed. I would definitely recommend.
