5/1/20 seems good. Practiced a bit today. Took a while to heat up. Took a while to cool down. Practiced on a cracked storage box. You do have to get the heat just enough to liquify the plastic stock because there is a fine line to melting thin plastic. Only comes with 3 pieces of stock, so just enough to practice a few times.4/30/20 Initial Impressions-This is NOT some cheap tiny kit of equipment! It’s hefty and solid. The reason some of the pictures show an extra ceramic heating element is because they I can EXTRA! Nice surprise. I was expecting a metal brush though, but no, that’s just a cheap toothbrush, haha. I’m happy to see the round and triangular tip aren’t for special size rods, just about any plastic rod will work. Can’t find my calipers. Maybe the round is 1/4”?

Received the unit last week and it works as described. But i did not receive the storage box.

Este producto es muy bueno, fácil de usar, obviamente como todo en la vida, se debe practicar para realizar bien la soldadura. Es un producto que se puede usar para trabajo continuo sin dañarse. La consideramos una buena compra, cumplió con todas la expectativas.

I HATE DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. This add clearly shows a tool box with this kit. It dose not come with the tool box shown but in a flimsy cardboard box. I am disappointed because this tool box was part of my buying this product I could have bought a similar item from Harbor freight for less.

Been a welder all my life, needed to repair a polyethylene rv tank and decided to give this a go. I watched a few videos, practiced a couple practice welds on some scraps I got and went for it. It's definitely got a learning curve and a bit different from welding steel, but the same concept. I pulled it off, it holds water and looks decent, not that the look mattered but I am a professional welder, so it kinda mattered....

A quick test shows about 700w... haven't used it much yet, seems to get hot enough on high to melt the plastic I tested it on, but I worry that maybe the element shipped in the unit is 240v version, would make sense if its supposed to be a little more than double what I'm getting at 120v. Also, there seems to be no way to control the velocity of air flow...this may be an issue durring actual usage. Will update review if I can confirm either way.

Voor het lassen van PVC werkt het prima. Wel wat minder degelijk en wat kleiner als Leister fohn.

L'ho usato solo qualche ora. Però l'ho trovato molto buono. Poco rumoroso e poche vibrazioni, mantiene la temperatura impostata. Il rullino a corredo è poco professionale, però visto il piccolo prezzo che ho pagato, il rullino è regalato.
