Works perfectly
This item looks and works exactly as described in the original seller’s description. I love how easy they are to rinse out and reuse, as the product works exactly the same as before I rinsed them. I would definitely recommend and purchase this product again.

These work great as long as no one squeezes them
Like any scum and oil remover, these work great in our hot tub. The only complaint I have is they are completely ruined if one of your spa users plays with it and squeezes it. They are meant to absorb, and if someone squeezes all the collected oils back into the spa, it defeats the purpose and ruins its ability to absorb. They are less expensive than other oil absorbers, so I keep a supply of these on hand.

No passive value, but nice for wiping tub sides when you use your hot tub
Hot tubs inevitably get a "bathtub ring" from bather body butter: lotions and products, dead skin cells, etc. The terry cloth cover on these floating balls works great for wiping the sides while you are in the tub though. Simply floating around does not really have any effect on scum though.

Amazing Brand of Scumballs
These scum balls are the very best quality and definitely hold up. I used these in my pool skimmers and they really make a difference. No more scummy residue around the edges!

Maybe works.
I squished one the first time I was in the hot tub and it didn’t go back to its original size at all. That’s why I deducted two stars. But my hot tub does seem like there are less orange bubbles, so I think they work. Just let them float on top and don’t squish, even though that’s fun to do.

Keeps my spa clean
This really helps to keep the walls of my spa clean and keep oils out of the filters. I like to keep one in the filter compartment and one in the spa to obsorb any oils. They seem to last a couple of months and then they start sinking telling you it's time for a replacement.

Not fakes. Read about it here.
Reading lots of reviews claiming they were fakes which turn brown overnight, I reached out to Horizon Ventures in Florida. Spoke to a gentlemen, who's name escapes me now. He was incredibly open and honest in my opinion. Yes, he did confirm that they had a batch of bad product which would turn brown very quickly. They really did not know what/why that happened but ran tests on current batches and could not duplicate the issue. He suspected that somehow the manufacturing process at the factory went haywire for a bit. He was not aware of anyone making fakes and confirmed the construction of the balls as one piece foam. Yes..they will turn brown in about 2 weeks. That's what they're supposed to do when they pick up oil...some may turn brown quicker if you lather up in cream like a cake. But anything that turns brown overnight is not a fake...it was just bad product. If that happen, suggest you reach out to AMZN or manufacturer for a return/refund. I got my second batch. They're still white after a week.

Waste of money
These did not pickup anything. Two days later it looked like I had just put it in the pool.

Great Price and Prompt delivery
Exactly half the cost the pool store was asking. Keeps suntan oils out of the pool and will wash up in soap and water. Rinse well and re-use.
