Works great
This is much easier than carrying pellets in your pocket. It helps me load faster with more precision (always point first and exactly the same depth). I also get a chance to 'inspect' the pellets as I load them. The pellets usually seat from the insertion, so I seldom use the seater. However, it is worth getting for the lanyard loop on it. And if the pellet isn't fully seated, I just flip the pen and seat it. I usually carry it in my pants pocket and haven't had any trouble losing it. (But I'm not hunting in the woods.)6 week update:This loader is still working great. It substantially speeds up my 2nd shot and keeps pellets out of my pockets. 'Destroyer' (sharp point) don't work very well. The lip usually hangs on the edge of the receiver, so it takes longer to get loaded. Also, I almost always have to use the seater with these pellets. OTOH, with regular pointed, domed, and hollow point pellets I almost NEVER need the seater. The pellets load flush in the initial insertion. This device makes shooting (squirrels or targets) more enjoyable.

Works perfectly
I've got 3 of these and they work perfectly. Doesn't matter what type of pellet you use. It works. It works without putting lead on your fingertips.

22 caliber pellets in a shirt pocket is a great and convenient idea
Pellet Pen-.22 cal. Have not used this item yet, but being able to carry 18+ .22 caliber pellets in a shirt pocket is a great and convenient idea. This unit is made out of plastic, so some care must be utilized in the use of it in the field and storage of this item when you are not using it. I think it would be a great idea if these pellet pens were made of a lightweight metal (such as aluminum)with a small slit the length of the pen to check the status of remaining pellets. It would be more durable and less likely to break when you are using it when it counts. That's why I only gave this item four out of five stars.

Good idea in theory, poor execution.
Design is not efficient, Rod to push pellets is too long and wastes space inside the pen. Could easily fit more pellets if rod wasn't so unnecessarily long. Also, space between rod and centering round isn't necessary. However, it'll come in handy when out in the woods squirreling.

Good Product, But Shop Around for the Best Price
What can I say? The device helps to seat pellets in your gun and does so efficiently. It holds 15 pellets. The seating device on the loading end is actually unnecessary, because when the pellet is loaded, there really is no need for further seating. Be careful, though, as this device is being sold for a wide range of prices; some as high as $30+. It is not worth $30+. So, look around before you buy. Otherwise, good product.

Where do I stop?
So I bought a .177 and .22 version of these for a break barrel pistol and Gamo rifle. It helps position the pellet in the pistol but I still need to give it a little push to get it to be flush. I use the .22 version to load the Gamo 10 shot magazines. Again works, but my favorite brand, Crossman pellet, requires a little extra push to go all the way in so I end up using the little push nipple oin the cap of the .22 version. (.17 did not have the cap and nipple. If I get lucky the next pellet pokes out and pusher the first far enough into the magazine chamber. The cilck stops on both help but are not great for controlling how much pellet you push out and getting the next pellet to poke it's head out without popping out.Considering that you have to load the pen in the first place I don't think you save much time overall, though it helps position the pellets when shooting. The main advantage is that I can keep my hands cleaner (not perfect). Those pellets can get my fingers dirty fairly quickly so pushing though a stick avoids digging in the tin or handling them a lot. I make straw magazines and pour the pellets in.

Field hunting necessity!
It sure is nice to have my pellets in the pen. Yeah i am sure some may say to just use your fingers for the pellets but with this pen and seater and just makes a simple job all the more simple and efficient. Instead of holding the whole tin I take the right amount of pellets out in the field to hunt with. If you are just going to plink then take your tin. This pen hold only 16 pellets. Construction is heavy plastic which should hold up to rigorous use and have a decent life span. If you want to travel lighter this is for you. If you are not concerned about it then maybe not. Really nice product though.

Safety.
Loading pellets in a break barrel airgun is a little awkward, you have to hang on to it to make sure it doesn't snap on your finger while maneuvering this tiny slippery object into position. This pellet pen allows you to insert the pellet precisely and seat it without putting you fingers near the breech. Holds about 20 pellets too, so you don't have to fish around in the can for each shot. Works fine. Pretty sturdy, well made, convenient, good price. Would recommend, especially if you have a youngster loading his first airgun.
