Design flaw
Strange and original triple combo light caught my attention as an early adopter, alpha consumer, and so far so good, in spite of an amazingly silly design flaw which is a textbook case of Murphy’s Law foretold. What can go wrong will go wrong. The USB recharging port has a small rubber, hinged waterproof insert/cover which is in the direct path of the sliding clip which needs to be removed when transitioning between bike light and headlight. So if ever that cover is even slightly unseated, and you are in a low visibility environment, which is intermittently probable and occasionally guaranteed, it is very easy to shear off the recharging port cover, forever compromising the waterproofness of the whole darn $100 light. What a crazy Achilles’ heel for an outdoor light, a light that might save your life in a bind, except for the fact that it will fail from water ingress due to such a terrible design flaw. Nothing prevented the port from being on the other side of the sliding clip. Just crazy dumb. I decided not to chance fate and returned it. The design must be improved.
