Perfect snake head
Okay. First things first, this snake head was part of a project for my 11 yr old for his Apophis project at school. He had to be the snake god as part of a school project for credit. Being the Halloween enthusiast, my creative genius went to work on how to make this happen. Human to snake. hmmmmm.... Well, they don't have arms or legs and generally crawl around on the ground or sunbathe in hot, rocky outcroppings. That wasn't going to happen. So, I bought a red riding hood style cape (thank you, amazon) and this snake head. We used painters tape to cover the eyes, teeth and mouth and spraypainted the head red. Apparently, Apophis was a RED snake. Okay. Let it dry and cut out larger holes in the mouth for my son to see out and breath. The effect was fabulous. Will try and post a picture of our glorious production. As for the mask, I couldn't be happier with the cost (not expensive) and the effect. Would recommend making eye and mouth holes as otherwise it can be a little claustrophobic. Yes, there is a smell but we left it outside for a few days to let the paint dry and it wasn't nearly as noticeable. Would recommend the same.

Perfect for halloween
This mask was perfect for my six year old. He wore a baseball hat backwards underneath the mask to help it stay in place. It was definitely warm inside the mask, we cut two slits to allow a bit more air in and out. It got amazing reactions on Halloween

kind of flopsy
Arrived in the tiniest box, I couldn't believe it, but that was okay considering my kid will use this about 2 days for Halloween. The cobra sides are a bit floppy and it is tough for my kid to fit his glasses underneath and be able to see through the eyes (throat lol).

It’s ugly and scary
My daughter loved this weird costume for a year. Definitely ugly and weird. Easy last minute costume idea.

Do not buy, overwhelming chemical smell, can't be worn
DO NOT BUY. The appearance of the mask is okay, though it was shipped smashed in a tiny box and therefore the warped shape means it won't sit right on the head. In additional to that, and far worse, is the overwhelming chemical smell that makes you feel sick within minutes (and possibly dangerous??). There was a fine powder on the inside that was left on us when we tried it on, and the smell came with it. We tried washing out the mask and letting it air out for a week. No improvement. The smell is so strong it will stink up whatever space it's in. We had to ban it to the outside. Tried to return it, and it said no returns allowed by seller. Thankfully Amazon customer service is giving a refund anyway.

Collapses easily
Halloween costume for my son. The price is great. The mask itself looks good. The mouth collapses very easily. We tried to stuff paper or fabric inside of it to hold the top of the jaw up. But it didn't really work. My son was happy to wear it but was disappointed that it didn't really give the look that he wanted.

Used it for a Halloween candy chute
We actually cut out a circle where the eye holes were and put it on a tube for a candy chute this year. It is actually pretty good tough material so it held up well. The fun part is it sounds like the snake is hissing as the candy goes down. It has a good shape and would hold up well as a costume too. Be aware it has a very strong odor at first. I would leave it out for a few weeks before use.

Returned Item
It had a smushed shape that never really made it sit correctly on my face. Impossible to see out of.
