Good value for money
Very impressed with this fan, moves a good amount of air and is very quiet compared to other fans i've tried. Hooked it up with a cheap fan controller and it works like a dream.. I wish i'd just bought two of these and used them for intake and exhaust as I ended up paying more for a smaller exhaust fan.

Packs a punch!
Its best to avoid the real cheap booster fans as they dont move air enough and are way too noisy. So my search took me to this. I needed an intake fan to match the 807 CFM exhaust fan I have (if exhaust is 100% the intake needs to be 25% of that) ...this little fan is just right at over 200 CFM and it promised quiet running...Never think that a fan of this type will be quiet! :)Its best to buy a small varispeed controller with it to give you options on speed.. turn it down keep it quiet. All in all the power is definately there if you need it and although its a bit noisy flat out its better than most for volume levels. So for the price its a good deal. Few in this price range have the CFM output either. Its nice and light and well made (no plastic) but I'd advise hooking duct to it because there's no safety guards front or back. With exposed wires at the rear. They are safely made but could easily take your finger off if you put it too close to the blades at the front while its turned up.

Good fan for the price.
I installed this booster fan to my kitchen exhaust line. It is quiet where it is installed, but blower sound is echoed through the ducting to my hood. Working well so far.

Works as advertised, a little on the loud side but not enough to turn me off.
All in all it’s a good fan. Do not recommend reducing to 4inch duct, you will lose more than half your CFM. The noise level is a little much as I’m using a rigid exhaust duct. Insulating the duct and/or adding a speed controller will help mitigate the sound

Noisy
Ha! Claims to be "extreme low noise"! NOT at all. this thing is very noisy! can hear it through the entire house and we are at 6500 sq feet!so far it blows just fine. but truly for noise... it is like having a shop vac running all the time.
