This fan and light combination work really well. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions call for 220v and doesn't provide any information for U.S. customers. I took a chance hooking it up when I saw that someone had hooked it up here in the states and they didn't have any problems with it. Had I not seen their reply I would not have hooked it up and would have hung my original fan back in it's place. Hooking it up is very and I mean very simple, with it being an all in one unit I think I had it installed in less than 30 minutes, but as stated before I had to wait for replies before I hooked it up and that was the very frustrating part.**edit**. I bought this fan to replace a standard ceiling fan in a cabin where there are bunk beds and low ceilings. This does what I was hoping it would do, provide plenty of bright light and circulate the air. I am comfortable with my kids climbing around on the beds and do not have to worry about them getting hit by a fan blade.

For price, exactly what I needed..No Reverse...Only small problem, everytime you open & close the 3 different lighting features change. So when you put it on, the light you chose goes to the next setting. You have to put it on and off till you get the desired light setting.

Overall I like the fixture. I cut the black box out and hardwired it to a fan/light switch. I can now control the 3 speed for the fan and turn on and off the light. I ran into the same problem as stated in other reviews with the light cycling through the 3 light temperatures cool, warm and natural(daylight). Well I have a solution to that and if you really wanted to you could install a selector switch for it but I just will be doing more of a permanent fix. To fix this issue there are 3 wires coming from the led driver. Grey (ground), yellow (warm leds), white (cool leds). Cut the yellow and white wires. Twist the two wire that are still attached to the driver together. Now which ever temperature you choose it won’t cycle each time you turn the lights on. If you want cool, tie in only the white wire to the two from the driver, if you want warm only tie in the yellow wire. Finally, like I have shown in the photo for natural light tie both the yellow and white wire with the two from the driver.I will review after some time has passed but so far no flickering and 3 distinguishable fans speeds that even on the highest is still quieter than a box fan and immediately starts circulating air. Perfect for the 10x11 room and the light is bright enough for the room too. If it holds up then it’s excellent for the price. Would be 5 stars if I didn’t have to do the extra stuff to hard wire it I. And to fix the led issue.

This fan was a great fit for my son's room with a bunk bed in it - no exposed fan blades to hit your head on! The fan is sufficiently powerful and it looks very modern. The shipping was surprisingly fast considering it came from China.There are a couple of things that are less than perfect (though it's still a great buy for its price):1. As others have mentioned, the light setting cycles each time it is turned off and on again. We really like the medium light and wish we could lock in the setting.2. The collar at the top of the fan is not very pretty to look at. The screws and screw holes are visible from the hallway. We're still working on a way to cover this up better.3. The remote is required to make the fan go. The light can be controlled by a switch, but not the fan.4. As others have mentioned, the instructions are not well written.

Bought the light for my husband’s small tool shed. The lighting was horrible & you had to keep changing positions to get better lighting plus the room has no windows & the heat was stiflingly. With the ceiling fan it lights up the entire room-no more shadows and we’ve only had to use the low setting on the fan. My husband loves it!!

Cons : I paid way to much. holding it up at the ceiling while you attach the short wires was hard. The fan is a 20$ stand fan with a light mounted around . Also will need a23 battery for the remote.Pros : light is bright. Light weight. It works.

Just installed, so I can't speak to its lifespan or durability. Install- not too bad but it shows 4 drywall anchors, came with 2. Wiring is pretty straight forward, other than my wiring was red, black, white &ground and the fan only has black, white &ground. My red &black go together, which may help someone else?Function- fan is GREAT! 3 speeds are perfect. I, like many other reviewers, wish you could choose one of the 3 light modes and it would stay on that, instead you have to cycle through all 3 each time. Bright, off, warm, off, medium, off... time buttons seem unnecessary & I really don't know what the last button even does!? Directions are poorly written, says "guide" but I have no idea. Thought maybe it changed the fan's direction, but it didn't?Overall, it's a bit pricey but fits my needs exactly so my daughter doesn't cut her head off on her bunk bed!

I liked the idea of the fan and didn't mind paying a LOT MORE for it. It arrived in a huge box that was WAY to light to be a ceiling fan of any kind. We tried to install it. It took two days (I've installed many fans before) and a call to a handyman. The handyman was able to install the fan after three hours. We were so excited!! Turned it on and the fan fell apart immediately. When we took it down we noticed that it was missing screws throughout the fan assembly and most of the screws were not tightened to begin with. The light/fan is made of a very cheap plastic which makes it very hard to install as you have to handle it delicately. The light itself was awesome!! I do a lot of photography work and the type of light was great for this purpose.. Their customer service wants to give me $40 of my $190 back. IT'S BROKEN! Don't waste your time with this fan or company.
