I have 11sq ft using 6x6 tiles how many do i need

Hello Each 10 pack of 6 x 6 nominal sized tiles cover somewhat more than 2 and 1/2 square feet. The tiles are 6 1/8” on edge not counting the grout, 11 square feet would 5 packs of 10 tiles. There would be about 5 or 6 tiles left over.

Need slate tile for bottom of cage. Would these work?

Not sure this would work well for that. I use the biggest tile in the set as a palette when painting small figurines. It cleans up easily and doesn't leave behind any residue. Nice smooth finish and substantial. Doesn't shift around on the table. None of the tiles is big enough on its own to cover the bottom of a cage unless it's a very small cage. You could use arrange multiple tiles to cover the bottom if the cage is strong enough to handle the weight of multiple tiles. And the sample pack I got had a variety, not all one size or shape -- some squares, a couple of rectangles. Hope this helps.
