Don Post Studios Robocop Mask

The helmet portion of the mask feels like it's made from the same plastic child masks are made of, like the ones you find at a dollar store. The chin guard is rubber. The helmet's paint job is sloppy and unprofessional, many scrapes and missed spots. The OCP POLICE 001 on the side is painted in black with a slight indentation under it, it looks like it was done by a 2nd grader.The helmet is held onto the rubber chin guard by 1 piece of velcro at the top, if you want to wear this you will need both a very large head and some velcro to secure the sides of the chin guard to the helmet.The only positive about this piece is hidden, the chin guard has the entire back of Murphy's robotic head included. Luckily when I removed the large piece of velcro from the top the paint job wasn't damaged because it actually looks nice.I was going to put this on a mannequin head and use it as a display piece for my Robocop collection, it is not as nice as I had hoped, but since I got it for $22 I feel ok about it. I will have to do some work to make it presentable. For a costume, it's the only option under hundreds of dollars, but it's not very good.

I saw all the bad reviews but I had no choice Don Post its the closest one that looks right so I order this item, when received it I was like WTH is this, I put it on and the helmet was round no oval it won't matter how much I squized the plastic it didn't hold the shape I need it, I looked weird lol, the chin part was cut bad, the side parts one was longer than the other one, so this is what I did, I work a lot with peparuka so I went to the program and I printed only the chin part and a piece that goes under the visor "for the peparuka model" and I made them on foam, hot glue the pice under the visor and it took the chin part and put it inside of the rubber to make some kind of support and stay rigid now I'm super super happy

I had bought the robocop costume and the mask that came with it was terrible! Low in detail, plastic helmet was cheap, and the black latex chin thing wasn't even symmetrical.So I order this mask. It is definitely a step up from what you get in the costume. Better plastic (Not the best), The latex chin thing is of higher quality and is symmetrical. The helmet part has more detail, but I needed to duct tape the sides of the helmet to the latex to give it a more authentic look as it is only attached on the top of the helmet.

Despite what other reviews said, I ordered it anyway... Now, I'm not gonna bother repeating what other reviews said, but I will focus on what I had to do to make this Robocop mask worth a flip.. First off....I don't blame the seller. It arrived ahead of schedule by 2 days. So bravo to him... But LORD does this mask need work.. I've added several strips of velcro (just to get it to fit right) and replaced the clear visor with a tinted one.. It looks just like the one pictured, from about 30 yards.. It's cheap, and you get what you pay for.. But if your a prop builder hobbyist, you can even polish this turd.. Just know what you're getting into, before you buy.

I'd give this 2.5 stars if i could. I was hoping for something harder for the helmet piece. It's really just a soft plastic for the top and a rubber piece for the bottom.I had to get pieces of velcro to attach the back of the mask as well as the top portion. As it comes to you, it looks god-awful. It's not worth the $30 that is charged here. I'd say it's worth maybe 15 bucks in it's current shape. I wil have to take a picture and post here.
